Some of the fabulous things we get up to at Jessica's Childcare !!!
Painting in the woods using a clear shower curtain.
One of the children was super interested in following her shadow on the way home from school drop off so we extended this to shadow drawing when we got back using to animals.
Water play. Enables children to explore colour mixing. Filling and emptying containers to explore space and measure.
A simple baking activity turned in mark making activity. The children explore the flour on the table and used their fingers to make marks.
Foot printing great sensory activity and allows the children to mark make in a different way.
Nature reef. We went on a walk and collect flowers, plants and leaves to create a reef.
Made our own play dough and enjoyed playing with it exploring different marks and creating fabulous models.
Decorated our own pizzas for tea.
Read the story paper dolls that a child had chosen to read and made our own paper dolls.
We had a visitor in the garden (frog) so made him a home for the day and explored the life cycle of a frog.
Planted our own beans and read Jack and the beanstalk.
Bubble pictures were a huge hit. Children just love bubbles.
Great team work to make a great marble run structure.
Rainbow rice in the messy tray.
Used duplo bricks to mark make in the paint.
Went on an outing to fineshade wood to look for the gruffalo and came back and made our own gruffalos using paper plates.
On a hot and sunny day the children enjoyed using different tools such as hammers paint brushes and toy drill to rescue the animals frozen in ice.
On the school run a child took an interest in jumping in puddles when we got back we got our puddles suits on and went out to find more puddles then made our own puddle in the tuff tray.
A child had visited the zoo at the weekend. We had a zoo day the children ordered animals from largest to smallest, made zoo pictures, read dear zoo and played with the animals.
