Our hall of dog fame❣️For those not in the know, the Nest Café at the Ecology centre is (and always has been) a dog friendly space🐾

Furry friends — like those pictured below — are welcome at the café and can be treated to a dog ice cream 🍦 or free puppuccino during their visit 🙂‍↕️🐶

Our Summer Activity sessions are proving popular, there are still spaces left in August for those looking to spend a couple of hours with the kids on nature based Arts & Crafts. If you are up at Ecology Centre please do swing by and say hello to Nancy as she is also accommodating drop-ins on the day.

*Note* This is a drop in structure, where you can pop along anytime between the five hour window. The activities on offer will last between 1-2 hours.

We will be holding Summer activity days at The Ecology Centre every Thursday and Friday during the Holidays. These will involve various arts and craft projects, foraging/scavenging as well as learning about nature and the outside. The sessions will be hosted by Nancy Bolze - there are 5 spaces available in each session (adults can join their child as well) and there are plenty of dates to chose from. The days are FREE but will need to be booked via our website on the events page -

🌿Volunteer Appreciation Post🌿
A massive thank you to our Tuesday Supported Volunteer Group who have worked increadibly hard this year. This group have clocked up over 1000 volunteer hours between them in the past 12 months and make a huge contribution to the management of our site and community garden. We really couldn't do it without you all. Here are some of the group with their annual volunteer certificates detailing the number of hours they have contributed to The Ecology Centre over the years.

A massive thank you to everyone who donated and shared our Big Give Small Charity Campaign 2026. Thanks to your efforts a total of £9,195.50 was raised in just one week to help us continue supporting and serving the local community and beyond. It really means the world to us, so thanks once again for your generosity and support 🌲🌿🌍💚
