Well done to the senior cadets for persevering with rifle drill today on the Kingham Hill School Combined Cadet Force Contingent Field Day. Their hard work certainly paid off. The Corps of Drums also put in a phenomenal day, with new members from our recruit entry joining for the first time. Preparation for the Biennial Inspection next month is going well.

A busy day for the Kingham Hill School Royal Air Force Air Cadets recruits on the Contingent Field Day. A morning of NCSC UK CyberFirst Adventures followed by pasta with homemade sauce, S’mores & baked banana for lunch, then weapons training & the flight sim this afternoon. So proud of our Kingham Hill School catering team last night, for winning the Team of the Year award at the Holroyd Howe . We see (and eat) how fantastic they are day-to-day, but we are so delighted for them that they are receiving this wider recognition.

The Kingham Hill School Combined Cadet Force - Royal Air Force cadets visit to RAF Brize Norton this week saw the cadets meeting many different station personnel (from 99 Squadron, JADTEU, DMTS, RAFCareers and the RAF Police dog section) who explained their roles in the RAF and the career opportunities open to the cadets. Thank you to the ACLO team for hosting us.

Congratulations to CCF cadets Ethan, Luca and Hywel who have been appointed Head of RAF Section, Head of Army Section and Head of Corps at Kingham Hill School. All three also received well deserved promotions on parade this week.

Whilst the weather 🌧 stopped the Kingham Hill School Combined Cadet Force - Royal Air Force gliding yesterday, thanks to the staff of 621 Volunteer Gliding Squadron and 637 Volunteer Gliding Squadron at , we still had a great day, learning about the Viking T1 glider and using the part task trainer to learn basic principles of flying. We will be back, hopefully when the sun is shining ☀️
