Morning all. Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas break. We look forward to seeing you all back on Tuesday. Wrap up warm, please remember hats and gloves, learning journals and a warm change of clothes for the back packs inc socks.

We unfortunately have 2 confirmed cases of Hand Foot and mouth. This is highly contagious so it is paramount that good hand hygiene is used at home along with any signs of illness, please keep them home. At Ladybirds we promote high standards of personal hygiene ie handwashing regularly and remind children to dispose of tissues and use hand sanitizer after using tissues and we clean and disinfect daily along side our cleaner who attends daily. Please know we are doing our best to prevent the spread.

Ladybirds Christmas party will be held this Thursday morning (our last day). Party time is 9.30-12.30 and a packed lunch and drink is still required. If you wish for your child to attend as an extra session (party hours only for extra children) then normal fees apply. Please speak to your child’s keyworker if you wish to attend.

Jephson hall Christmas party is Sunday 7th December 2pm -4.30pm, free party for children 11 years & under who either live in Walpole X Keys including Station Road South and Market lane, attend Walpole X keys Primary school or Ladybirds pre-school. Reminder
Can parents please remember to bring suitable outdoor coats for outdoor play, now the weather has turned more chilly. We do spend as much time outdoors as possible so it’s important for them to wear warm outdoor clothing.

Norfolk Owls visited us today and what a fantastic experience it was for the adults and children. So lovely to be so close to the owls who were super friendly and well behaved. Thank you Richard for bringing your feathered friends to see us. Norfolk Owls

Georgie the paramedic visited us today. The children were all so excited to be able to look in her emergency vehicle and test out some of her equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed her visit and learnt a lot about her job.
This is part of the community engagement visits.

As the Summer holidays are sadly coming to the end we thought we would remind parents that our doors open on Monday 8th September at 8.30.
Whilst Ladybirds has been closed there has still been lots going on behind the scenes and we look forward to showing you all the changes.
All the staff are excited to wear their new uniforms and we look forward to welcoming all the children to Ladybirds. Obviously we are going to miss our leavers but we wish them all well on their new journey through primary school x

We are proud to announce that Ladybirds has been awarded a Good grading across all areas. We are pleased that the inspector recognised our hard work to provide the best support for all our children. The inspectors feedback from parents comments was heartwarming and I thank you all for speaking so highly of us.
We are obviously disappointed that we didn’t remain an Outstanding setting, but we continually strive to do our very best each and every day and the children’s happy faces and smiles reward us every day.

Tomorrow (Thursday)is our last day before we break up for the Summer holidays.
Our doors will be open from 3 for you to collect your child and belongings before the leavers party begins @ 3.30 ish , the party is for school leavers only so please be prompt collecting children tomorrow thank you.
School leavers party includes a water fight so please remember your water guns and dry clothes plus a towel. Parents are welcome to return at 4.15 to watch the children receive their leavers gift and hear a few words from Nikki and her team. If siblings need to attend please do not let them wonder off on the school premises.
Please remember not to post photos on social media if other children are in the photos.
