Today we have had a special visit from Hollie Bob Pumpkin.. we all loved dancing to the Halloween down by the bay song, showing off our outfits and making our own monster cupcakes 🎃🎃🎃 Happy Halloween from us All at Little Lambs.

Here are some examples of the activities that we put onto our tuff trays. We aim to invite and inspire the children to investigate, explore and learn 🌟

We also use the tuff trays to encourage discussion, our Little Lambs all have a thirst for knowledge and ask us lots of questions.

And most importantly.. they are mainly used to have fun 🐑 🐑 🐑

Today we closed our door and waved goodbye to 2020. It has been a tough year for everyone. Everything is crossed for a much brighter 2021!

I just wanted to say how amazing the team of girls I have working with me are. Each of them has gone above and beyond this year. They are all so kind, supportive and thoughtful.

The time, care and enthusiasm they all have for making sure each child we care for has the best opportunities and experiences is unreal! The relationships they have built and the love they give to every part of their roles blows me away daily.

Covid has thrown things at me that I never could have imagined having to deal with. But, each of them has stepped up, supported me and each other so much. They've listened while I've cried, ranted and complained about all the rules and restrictions. Sat with me while I've tried to get my head around all the changes and helped me work out how to safely bring everyone back. Delivered wine and chocolate while I was struggling with the endless mountains of paperwork and forced me to take time off.

I couldn't have got through this year without them.

Enjoy your gifts and time off ladies.

Today's tuff tray activity is a sensory snowman. We have used lots of different textures and smells.

We love providing the children with beautiful tuff trays that spark their imagination and creativity. The trays invite them to explore their senses and learn about textures, colours and smells.

We can always tell when a tray is inviting by how quickly the children dig in and create their own investigations.

A messy tray at the end of their play means they have been fully absorbed and have enjoyed every second 💕💕💕💕

Things are a bit different this year. We've not been able to have our normal Christmas party where all the children get together.

So instead, we had a chat with the big guy and he has very kindly agreed to make an appearance EVERYDAY this week!!

He said he would happily bring all the amazing girls and boys a special treat for their snack and a special craft activity for us all to do together.

Today we've got wish stars and Gingerbread men for our snack 🎄🎅

Today we went to see the boats. We sat for a while and watched them on the river. We talked about all the different colours and sizes.

We walked all the way along the river to the ferry. We waved as the ferry left to go to town.

There was a HUGE boat and a crane, we talked about what the crane might be unloading.Then we saw the wind turbine and talked about all the things we use electricity for.

We're lovely and warm again now with Christmas songs playing and making glittery pictures.
