We are passionate about play at St Martha's! That is why we are working towards becoming an OPAL accredited school. OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) is all about ensuring every child gets at least 45 minutes of great play every day. It has been such a wet cold winter but we have still managed to get out and have lots of creative fun!

The National Year of Reading is here! At St Martha's we are determined to get our pupils reading more than ever. We’re excited to launch our Donate a Book initiative and invite you to help grow our school library. This is a simple way to support reading for pleasure, refresh our collection with much-loved stories and new releases, and help us create an inspiring library for all our pupils. On Tuesday 11th, all children and staff paid their respects to the fallen. Over fifty of our students who attend uniformed groups such as Brownies or Cubs, wore their uniforms as a mark of respect and lead a procession to the playground, where the whole school listened to our Head Students speak and recite a poem before we stood in silence for "The Last Post".

St. Martha's will remember them.

💛💙SPONSORED RUN💙💛

This Hello Yellow Day the children participated in a sponsored run to raise donations for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We raised a staggering £1896.41!!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated. We had a great time on our run and to be able to raise money for a fantastic cause at the same time is just brilliant.

🏃‍♂️ CROSS COUNTRY! 🏃‍♀️

Last week, we took 37 pupils to the Cross County competition at Lynnsport. All of the pupils completed what was a tough course and represented St Martha's incredibly.

Out of the 37 runners, 13 children came in the top ten, with 5 coming in the top 3 for their age category!

Fantastic achievement from all our Cross Country Runners. The 16 qualifiers will compete again on 10th November at Lynnsport.
