This summer has been so incredibly generous… With sunshine, warmth, meadows in full bloom, wonderful people crossing my path, open hearts, new experiences, opportunities, and time when I could simply stop and just be… Time spent with beautiful people and moments I will treasure for a long, long time…

Thank you, summer, for such endless abundance. Thank you for letting me immerse myself in flowers and scents. Thank you for the most beautiful sunsets and for those swims when I completely lost track of time…

Thank you to myself for not waiting for the right time or the right company to live this summer.
For sometimes simply getting in the car and driving off to watch the sunset on my own.
For allowing myself to stop. To look. To feel. To simply be.

My heart is full, and I am ready for the turning of the wheel of the year.
Ready for slower mornings, longer evenings, earthy colours, cosiness, creativity, and everything the new season will bring. 🍂

There is this beautiful feeling that something new is born from a place of fullness… and that the seeds of all this summer’s experiences are already quietly waiting for their time to sprout into new ideas and projects. 🌿

Over two sessions at Stovykla Ąžuolėlis summer camp, I had the chance to spend time with the children and run two very different workshops. We made herbal incense, touched, smelled and got to know different plants, and in another session we distilled herbs together and watched the whole process of turning them into hydrosol.
But the more workshops like this I do, the more I realise that their value goes far beyond what the children learn or what they take home at the end of the day.

Children today are growing up in a world where so much of life happens through a screen. Communication, entertainment, information, even friendships are increasingly moving into the virtual world. And sometimes the things that might seem completely natural and simple to us can actually be a real challenge for some children.
That’s why I feel camps like this are more important than ever.
Here, children learn things that simply can’t be learned through a screen. They learn how to be together. How to meet new people. How to adapt. How to disagree and then find their way back to each other. How to help one another, wait their turn, create, laugh, get their hands dirty, be curious… and actually experience the day rather than simply pass the time.

So I have so much respect and gratitude for the women behind this camp. 🤍 For your dedication, patience and huge hearts. For creating a space where children can not only have fun, but grow, learn how to be with others, discover more about themselves, and reconnect with the real world beyond their screens.
The world needs more people who care not only about who children will become one day, but also about the childhood they will remember.

And I’m very grateful that I could be a small part of these two camp sessions and plant my own little herbal seed along the way. 🌿🤍

As I promised during my workshop at the Norwich Yoga Festival I wanted to share the traditional energetic properties of the plants we worked with, so you have them to come back to whenever you need.

For centuries, herbs have been valued not only for their physical properties but also for their symbolic and spiritual significance in cultures around the world. The descriptions on the slides reflect traditional folklore and plant wisdom, inviting intention, mindfulness, and a deeper connection with nature.

I hope our workshop became a gentle reminder that reconnecting with nature also means reconnecting with yourself. Every time you pick up your bundle, let it invite you to pause, take a deep breath, slow down, and remember that we, too, are part of the natural world.

May the plants continue to inspire your own rituals, moments of gratitude, and quiet connection long after the festival has ended. 🌿🤍

Every single year I tell myself I’ll make the most of summer… and somehow August arrives and I realise I never really did.
So this year I’m doing my Savour August Challenge, and I’d genuinely love for some of you to join me. No waiting for the “perfect day” or “maybe next weekend”, just do it!! Whether it’s one sunset or all fifteen… collect some memories before autumn steals the light. 🌅🤍

And if anyone randomly fancies joining me for a walk, a swim or just watching the sunset… my inbox is open. Good company is always welcome… and sunsets are better when they’re shared. 🌅 😉

Kažkuriuo metu nustojome matyti augalus kaip kažką daugiau nei vaistus.
Šiandien pirmasis klausimas, kurį dažniausiai užduodame, yra:
Kam ši žolė naudinga?
Ar ji padeda miegui?
Uždegimui?
Virškinimui?
Hormonų pusiausvyrai?

Tai geri klausimai… tačiau galbūt ne patys svarbiausi. O kas būtų, jeigu prieš klausdami, ką augalas gali padaryti dėl mūsų, pirmiausia išmoktume jį pastebėti?
Kaip jis auga.
Kokią vietą pasirenka augti.
Kaip apsisaugo.
Kaip prisitaiko prie besikeičiančių metų laikų, su jais nekovodamas.

Kiekvienas vaistinis augalas savyje neša istoriją.
Ir galbūt todėl jie turi tiek daug ko mus išmokyti ne tik per savo cheminę sudėtį, bet ir per patį savo buvimą. Galbūt gijimas ne visada prasideda nuo žolelės vartojimo. Galbūt jis prasideda tą akimirką, kai pakankamai sulėtiname tempą, kad iš tiesų “sutiktume” augalą.

Man herbalistika nėra vien augalų pažinimas.
Tai santykio su gamta atkūrimas, o kartu ir santykio su pačiais savimi, nes kiekvienas prasmingas santykis prasideda nuo gebėjimo skirti dėmesio.

Year 3 completed — halfway through my Medical Herbalism degree! 🌿✨

It has been a long and challenging year, filled with late nights, endless reading, assignments, exams, and moments of self-doubt. But every single minute has been worth it.

I am deeply grateful to all the patients who trusted me, the lecturers who shared their knowledge so generously, and the wonderful friends who walked this path alongside me. This journey would not have been the same without you. 💚

Here’s to the next chapter and everything still to come. 🌱📚

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be leading a workshop at this summer.

Nature has always been one of my greatest teachers. In a world that moves so fast, it’s easy to lose touch with the simple things that help us feel grounded, connected and truly present.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the beautiful tradition of herbal smudge making, work with plants, create something with our own hands, and take a moment to reconnect with ourselves and nature.

I’d love to meet some of you there. 🌿

Pastarosios dienos itin intensyvios.
Darbas veja darbą, per mažai poilsio, ir jaučiu, kaip kūnas pradeda tai sakyti savais būdais.. sunkiau atsipalaiduoti, kortizolis šoka nesibaigiantį šokį, daugiau vidinės įtampos, tas keistas “wired but tired” jausmas.
Ir vakar vakare visai netyčia prisiminiau vieną labai seną ritualą ricinos aliejų bambos srityje.

Jeigu atvirai, ricinos aliejų mėgstu jau seniai. Ypač kompresus ant sąnarių, pilvo, kepenų srities. Man tai ne tik “nauda kūnui”, bet ir pats ritualas, sulėtėjimas.
O apie bambą dabar vėl labai daug kalbama wellness pasaulyje, nors pats metodas tikrai nėra naujas. Įvairiose tradicijose bambos sritis nuo seno buvo laikoma labai svarbia vieta, susijusia su virškinimu, nervų sistema, energija, moterišku centru.
Aišku, internete dabar pilna stebuklingų pažadų,
Bet kai kuri nauda tikrai logiška ir suprantama.
Dažniausiai minima, kad ricinos aliejus bambos srityje gali:
• padėti nuraminti nervų sistemą ir sumažinti įtampą
• palaikyti virškinimą ir sumažinti pilvo tempimą
• būti malonus PMS ar menstruacijų metu
• padėti sausai odai
• tiesiog… padėti kūnui šiek tiek atsikvėpti

Aš dažniausiai tiesiog įmasažuoju kelis lašus vakare prieš miegą.
Ir kartais tokie maži dalykai veikia stipriau nei atrodo iš pirmo žvilgsnio. O tu ar esi kada nors bandžiusi šį metodą?

Jau šiąnakt magiškoji Valpurgijos naktis!
Nors pavadinimas kilęs iš krikščionybės, ši naktis turi daug senesnes, pagoniškas šaknis. Ji sutampa su pavasario virsmu ir yra artima Beltane šventei – vaisingumo, gyvybės ir ugnies laikui.
Valpurgijos pavadinimas kilo nuo Šv. Valburga, VIII a. vienuolės. Įdomu tai, kad jos šventė (gegužės 1 d.) „uždengė“ daug senesnių, laukinių ritualų, todėl ši naktis yra tarsi dviejų pasaulių susiliejimas: sakralaus ir instinktyvaus.
Europoje šią naktį žmonės kūrendavo laužus ne šiaip sau, buvo tikima, kad ugnis valo nuo ligų ir blogos energijos, saugo nuo „blogų dvasių”, stiprina gyvybinę jėgą. Kai kur net šokinėdavo per ugnį – kaip simbolinį perėjimą į naują ciklą.
Dar ši naktis vadinama “Raganų naktis“
Vokietijoje ši naktis ypač siejama su Brocken kalnu kur tikėta, kad ten renkasi raganos. Bet giliau pažiūrėjus, tai nėra „tamsos“ simbolis, tai archetipas moters, kuri žino, jaučia ir gyvena pagal savo ritmą. Senose tradicijose tikėta, kad žolynai šią naktį turi stipriausią gydomąją galią, rasa ryte (gegužės 1-osios) yra gydanti ir jauninamai veikianti ir tai vienas geriausių laikų rinkti ar laiminti augalus.
Tai laikoma viena iš ypatingų naktų, kai riba tarp matomo ir nematomo pasaulio tampa silpnesnė. Todėl sapnai gali būti ryškesni, o intuicija stipresnė.
