Dear parents/carers

Children have enjoyed listening and following instructions this week, which helps them to know their routines better while building their confidence.
Next week we will focus on Literacy.

Twinkle Toes' room will look at and recognise photos of ourselves and peers whilst exploring different textures in the tuff tray.

Fairy Steps’ room will recognise pictures of ourselves on coat pegs and self-registration to help the children know where their bags and coats are while learning about themselves.

Stepping Stones’ room will explore letters from their names to support the children with word reading.

Have a lovely weekend. Take care.

Welcome back after the half term we hope you all had a lovely time.

This week we are focusing on Personal Social and Emotional Development by supporting children to build/make relationships through activities according to the children’s age and stage of development.

“Children play co-operatively, taking turns with others. They take account of one another’s ideas about how to organize their activity. They show sensitivity to others’ needs and feelings and form positive relationships with adults and other children” (EYFS).

Twinkle Toe’s room will use mirrors to recognize their friends’ faces and their own, talk about emotions, read stories about feelings, offer different activities to share their interests, etc.

Fairy Steps room will wrap a box using a tissue box, various ‘acts of kindness’ for the children to take part in, etc.

Stepping Stones room will read a colour monster book while using puppets, talk about what makes us happy and sad, draw a story map, use a box of feelings, etc.

World Book Day is Thursday the 7th of March
Please dress up as your favourite character, or even come in your pyjamas and bring your favourite book along.
