Sleep issues are common for children and young people and can have a huge impact on the quality of family life.

Between 25% and 40% of children experience sleep-related difficulties and this statistic rises for children with a diagnosis of Autism.

We are offering a 4-week sleep programme for parents/carers living in Warwickshire delivered by professionals who have been trained by The Sleep Charity.

The programme will cover:

The importance of sleep and understanding sleep cycles
Causes of sleep issues
Specific sleep problems for children with Autism
Strategies to overcome sleep problems
Establishing appropriate bedtime routines
The importance of bedroom environment and positive parenting
Additionally, we can offer pre-arranged support via telephone and reviewing of sleep diaries alongside the sleep programme.

This 4-week programme is available for parents and carers in Warwickshire and is delivered virtually via Teams two hours each week for 4 weeks on the following dates:

Friday 9th October 9:30am - 11am

Friday 16th October 9:30am - 11am

Friday 23rd October 9:30 - 11am

Friday 30th October 9:30am - 11am

Children can sign up at any Warwickshire County Council library, where they will receive everything they need to get started.

Kineton Community Library is open:
Monday and Wednesday: 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm

Summer Book Bears for Pre-School children

This year, younger children can also take part in the Summer Book Bears scheme, collecting a sticker or stamp each time they visit the library and earning a certificate upon completion.
