Good luck to all our S4-S6 pupil's who are sitting exams this year.
Please ensure your child signs up to MySQA prior to the final exam diet. MySQA is your direct link with SQA. It lets pupils view their qualification information, check the personal details held for them and if they are sitting exams, they can get their results sent by email and text message. If you find your address isn't correct on MySQA then please contact the school as a matter of urgency to update as this will result in your child's final exam certificate not being delivered. Pupils will need their SCN and a valid email address to sign up. SCN's are available from registration teachers and will be displayed on the back staffroom window.

Remote learning for 1 day a week for S1-3. Please read below letter.
Scottish Online Lessons is a great resource that helps students prepare for their upcoming Nat 5 and Higher exams.
The monthly subscription is just £5 per month and covers 9 Secondary subjects such as Maths, English and Physics. This is just a fraction of what parents would pay for a private tutor.
The lessons are taught and narrated by teachers and cover the Scottish curriculum from P1 to S5. Pupils can also ask questions to the teachers on anything they don’t understand in the lessons – so it works as a tutor service.
You can see the lessons for FREE through the 1-day free trial here: https://portal.scottishonlinelessons.com/plans/signup/
You can also contact us through the page: https://www.facebook.com/scottishonlinelessons
We would welcome any donations towards our Prom 💃🕺. Please drop in any items to the school or email us at [email protected] and we can collect.
Due to lack of internet service we have decided to reschedule tonight's meeting to next Wednesday.

NAC Parental Involvement and Engagement Census (PIE) 2022/23 06/06/2023

You should all have received the below email from North Ayrshire Council Education. Please can you take a few minutes to take part in the survey. Thank you.

North Ayrshire Council – as well as the Scottish Government and other local authorities in Scotland - aim to improve and increase the ways in which parents, carers and families can work with teachers and other partners in education to support learning for our children and young people. It is, therefore, important that we gather the opinions and feedback of parents to evaluate the progress we are making.
Please find attached information regarding the annual North Ayrshire Parental Involvement and Engagement Survey information and a QR code to access the same survey link on your mobile phone.

It would be extremely helpful to hear from you so that we can not only assess the progress of the work currently being undertaken, but also to identify areas for further improvement based on the direct feedback of parents, giving you – at the same time – the opportunity to help shape local planning and decision making as well as shaping national priorities for education, learning and teaching.

2023 Participatory Budgeting 26/02/2023

We are extremely delighted to announce that our application for December 2023 for Locality Participatory Budgeting Funding, has been successful in progressing to the next stage. Voting will take place from 12pm on 26th February 2023, until 12 noon on 12th March 2023.

Our bid was for £1000 to purchase toiletries (deodorant, shampoo and toothpaste) and basic school wear and other items such as socks, jackets and tee shirts to help our young people and families through the current cost of living crisis. If successful, the school will match the amount to enhance the available resources for young people to access. There will be no charge to the young people and their families as this is to help provide items that are necessary for health and wellbeing during this current cost of living crises.

Whether we are successful in securing funding depends on how many votes we get.

Results will be announced via consul platform and by social media when we will be advised if our idea has been one of the successful projects. The following URL link https://tinyurl.com/PB-Vote-NAC has been included to allow everyone to view and or vote on the voting platform which will be available from Sunday 26 February at 12pm if you so wish.

2023 Participatory Budgeting Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a form of citizen participation, where local people are involved in the process of deciding how public money is spent.

A voucher scheme will operate during the October holidays for families of eligible children and young people i.e. those registered for free school meals.

The vouchers will be distributed to parents and guardians via email or mail depending on each household’s preferred contact method.

There will be separate vouchers for each child, and you don’t need to spend the whole amount you have received at the same time. They cannot be used for age-restricted products such as to***co and alcohol.

Only those registered for means tested free school meals will receive the vouchers. They do not cover universal entitlement to p1 – p5.
