Our consultation on Early Learning and Childcare 2026 is now open, and we’d really like to hear from parents and carers.

Your views will help us understand what’s working well locally and where there may be opportunities to improve services for families.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, but every response helps shape future early learning and childcare provision.

Applications for funded early learning and childcare places for 3 and 4 year olds in East Ayrshire close at midnight on Friday 27 February.

To complete your application, you will need:
✅ Your child’s full birth certificate
✅ Two proofs of residency, such as a Council Tax notice or utility bill

Primary one registration opens soon! 📚 ✏️

Parents and carers of children due to start Primary 1 in August 2026 are being asked to register their child from Monday 12 January to Friday 16 January 2026.

Children who turn five years old between 1 March 2026 and 28 February 2027 are eligible to start school in August 2026.

We have had a great haul of apples from our tree this year due to it being a mast year, and have so many we won't be able to use them all.
If you'd like some for making something yummy bring a bag and please help yourself! 🍏🍎
