I have had a huge
amount of enquiries about lessons over the past few months and unfortunately I've had to say no to all of them and explained that it could be a good few months before I'd have space, this is because of people wanting specific days and times which I can't accommodate.. I've gone through the list of people waiting on a space but can't find anyone who could take these times. Just to let everyone know these 2 spaces are available and if anyone is interested get in touch please....

I am having trouble with the messaging for this page, I'm not getting messages people are sending for 2, sometimes 3 days after they have sent it. I've tried to rectify this loads of times but to no avail. Even installing the business page app hasn't made it any better so to cut a long story short if you need to contact me urgently about your lessons my phone number is 07930849025 probably be best to get me on that. If it's just an enquiry then send through messenger and I'll get it eventually. No rush at the moment anyway as I have no available spaces for a while until I work my way through my waiting list that is ... thanks for reading 🙂
I wonder who even taught them how to 🤔😂

Fabulous first week back after lockdown. I am proud of each and every one of my pupils, they haven't been behind the wheel for almost 5 months but took it all in their stride for their first lessons back. Well done for making my job easy this week 😄..
Thought I'd have a wee throwback Thursday... think this was about 2004... time flies when you're having fun 😄
Hi everyone at the moment I am trying to sort out my diary for the restart next Monday the 26th. For some reason the messenger for this page must have frozen in time or something because I have just found about a million messages that I am trying to go through. If you have messaged about starting lessons I will get to you eventually as I have to deal with my existing clients first. I am sorry about this but I think you will understand we are all a bit inundated with requests for lessons at the moment.. Bare with .. bare with 😄
Hopefully all going well and people don't go crazy as lockdown starts easing, it looks like we will be back up and running on the 26th April. My existing students and the ones who have had tests cancelled will have priority for lessons when we start back. New students will be considered according to their availability for any of my available slots. I hope to see you all soon, it's been a long hard time for everyone but there is finally a c***k of light at the end of the tunnel.. thank you all for your patience and understanding..
As you are all probably aware by now East Ayrshire is going into level 4 of Covid restrictions on Friday which means no driving lessons can take place. Hopefully be back on the 11th December as the government have announced. Until then please stay safe and thank you for your continued support in these awful times. See you all very soon
And another pass.. great big well done to Chloe Campbell on passing today in torrential rain.. I'm absolutely soaked to the skin now but all in a days work 🙂
Huge congratulations to Amy Kennedy on passing her test first time . Finally after all the Covid cancelled tests she managed to get sitting it.. I'm soaked to the skin cos we are not allowed in to the test centre but it was worth it to see her happy face 😄

Announcement..... the government have allowed us to resume lessons as of Monday 24th of August.. I will be in touch with all my existing clients in the next couple of days. If I haven't done so by the weekend please message or phone me. There will obviously be changes to your lessons which I will discuss with you all personally. Let's get back behind that sanitized wheel guys 🚗👏
12th of july 1989.. test day!
Woke up knowing what lay ahead in the afternoon so feeling a bit nervous. Could I eat breakfast? Yep, slice of toast a bit hard to swallow but got it down eventually. Off to work I go on my push bike, nothing else for it I can't legally drive on my own yet but hoping I was going to change that fact today. Work was a daze I can't remember any of it apart from lunch. By this time I had worked myself into a frenzy, i couldn't swallow my roll.. i could bite it and chew it but the lump in my throat was too huge to let my roll past. What if i fail, what if i pass? My head was full of stuff. Wee John my instructor arrives at my work place " are you ready Jennifer ".. oh god here goes, the time has come. Jump in the car wearing the wee flat shoes I had worn in every lesson and I wasn't going to change that today. The sun was bursting out of the sky and the car was boiling.. windows open wide ( no aircon in those days).. driving round Saltcoats in a virtual dream practicing my 3 point turn and reversing round corners it felt like I was in a nightmare. Ok let's head for the test centre says John and I must admit a little bit of p*e escaped 😂.. examiner couldn't have been nicer when he walked out and said " let's head out to the car Miss Woods" he referred to me as Miss Woods for the next 25 mins asking me to pull in, turn left, turn right, move off when you're ready, turn the car around in the road and then ok I'd like you to reverse back around the next road on the left.. oh god please don't make me do this. Summer holidays up the tap end of Stevenston and there's kids playing kirby and all sorts on this road on the left. Anyway after analysis I thought to hell with it and got on with the manoeuvre. To be honest the kids playing made it easier as I was too busy watching I wasn't going to knock them down to worry about getting it right so I nailed it.. back to the test centre and my lovely wee examiner said " I'm pleased to tell you you've passed the test " I was the champion of the world that day and nothing else mattered now... so guys this is the story of the day I passed my test. 31 years ago today and now I pass that wisdom on to all my students. Remember I know you're nervous and I can understand that but with practice and dedication we all get there in the end... 🚘🚗🚙
Here's the latest correspondence from the DVSA... Nicola Sturgeon said yesterday that driving lessons cannot resume before July 31st and that will depend on the virus still being under control after the reopening of other sectors.. fingers crossed that people keep doing the right thing....
Driving instruction and driving tests
Other than emergency training and tests for critical workers, driving instruction and driving tests have not yet been able to restart because the risk of transmission of the virus in vehicles is higher.
In his statement on 10 June, the Prime Minister reiterated that the government will remain cautious and measure the effect of the changes it makes. The Prime Minister explained this means moving slower than we’d have liked in some areas.
Driving instruction and tests will only restart when the government is confident that the assessment of risk warrants it, subject to the 5 tests and further detailed scientific advice.
In the meantime, I want to re-emphasise that you should continue to limit driving lessons to critical workers who are preparing for an emergency driving test..........
This is part of a very long winded email I received today from the DVSA..
It is with great sorrow that as of today i have to hang up my car keys in the interest of health and safety ie this bloody virus 😢.. I've had tears and tantrums over this situation today but it's out of my control. Teaching people to drive has been my life for 18 years now so I'll be back as soon as it's possible to do so.. to all my students past, present and indeed future i hope you stay well and safe. Together we will beat this...
