Continuing their learning about, People Who Help Us , Primary 1 recently enjoyed a visit from Morag from Crosshouse Children's Fund. Morag wanted to share Cammy the teddy bear's hospital experience. Primary 1 learned that hospitals are for helping people and that they don't need to be afraid. They also learned that teachers can work in hospitals to help children with their learning. At the end of the session, Primary 1 were awarded with their very own Ted-ical degree! 😎

Earlier this month, Primary 1 enjoyed a visit from Mrs Gebbie, a local vet, as they continued their People Who Help Us topic. Mrs Gebbie shared her experience as a vet and told the children lots of interesting facts. Mrs Gebbie loved looking at all of our stuffed animals and explained how she could help them. Following her visit, it seems we have a few budding vets in our midst!

Here is the list of names from this week's Celebrate Assembly. Well done every one of our Loanhead Learners Leading the way demonstrating our school values.
There were a few certificates returned to Ms McCulloch's room of children who did not receive these during assembly. These may be collected by learners at any time. 🤩

Ford Castle... one group's journey across some of the activities they enjoyed. It was a week full of rain but none of it dampened their spirits. The focus across the week was to try something new and push yourself out of your comfort zone! It is clear from the pictures collated that each and every learner did just that! They also strengthened communication and teamwork skills as well as forming new friendships. Skills for life... more photos will be posted next weekend ... keep your eyes peeled 😎
..and if you are still missing some clothing or items which did not return we have some left in the school waiting for owners to reclaim them. 🤭

Thank you for your continued support as we raised £172 for worthwhile causes. More responsible citizenship and effective contributors from our Loanhead Learners.
Thank you for such a generous donation- it will certainly help make the chocolate tombola a big success! Looking forward to Spring Fling Friday Friends of Loanhead - Parent Council 😍
This is an enterprise being organised and hosted by Primary Sevens on Friday. All that is required is for our learners to come in casual clothes to travel from class to class. Being mindful of the school hosting Red Nose Day on Friday 15th March, we do not require any money or donations of eggs. We have sourced our own prizes for the Bunny Birthday, Ms McCulloch is donating a jar of chocolate eggs to guess the number of eggs in the jar and the lovely Friends of Loanhead Parent Council have very kindly donated chocolate Easter Eggs to add to our chocolate tombola. Hope this answers all questions. 🙂
