St Columba's School is a coeducational independent day school for pupils aged 3–18, located in Kilmacolm, near Glasgow. As one of Scotland's highest achieving schools, the exam results obtained by our pupils are consistently among the highest pass rates and percentage grade As in the country. With just under 700 pupils across our Early Years, Junior and Senior Schools, our size is one of our stren

gths. Each child is known by name and recognised as an individual. Considerable effort is made to create an environment which allows us to identify and nurture the unique talents and skills of each pupil, and encourage each one of them to realise their full potential, grow and flourish. It is essential that the foundations are strong and reading, writing and numeracy skills are mastered early. We combine the pursuit of academic excellence with a range of opportunity and challenge to develop self-confident and independent young people. High quality teaching, a strong sense of belonging and the space to grow and achieve their full potential is what we offer at St Columba’s. Our beautiful countryside location and excellent educational experience create a school environment which is challenging and vibrant. We offer wraparound care from 7.30am-6pm, financial assistance and a dedicated coach service - we are closer than you may think. Please contact us to arrange a visit and discover what St Columba's can offer you and your child.

Congratulations to Harry M. (SIII), who has been named a finalist at the Inverclyde Sports Personality Awards on 28th August.

Harry has had a remarkable season in Powerchair Football, helping his team secure two trophies (the League Plate and Scottish Cup Quaich) as part of the Scottish Powerchair Football Association competitions.

Through a competitive application, he was also accepted to attend the European Powerchair Football Association Youth Camp in the summer.

His determination, resilience and love for the sport is inspirational. This recognition is very well deserved. Well done Harry!

Save the date for our Late Summer Fete!

On Saturday 12th September (2pm - 4pm), our school buildings and grounds will be buzzing with stalls, games, and seasonal treats, all in aid of charities chosen by our SVI House Captains. It’s always a fantastic highlight of the term, and we'd love to see the whole community there.

See you there for a brilliant afternoon of fundraising and fun!

The first batch of St Columba's honey is almost ready! After a long year of hard work by our Junior School pupils, our happy bees have produced enough for us to now learn all about the honey-making process.

Thank you to Mr McKay (our head beekeeper) and Dr MacBeath (his apprentice!) for all of their hard work looking after the bees over the summer while the pupils were away.

All going well, the first batch of honey will be ready in time for the Late Summer Fete on 12th September...follow for updates!
