Sarah was such a great host. She shared her experiences of working with lions, wild dogs and more, trying to figure out if disease is the reason why lots of these animals died around the same time. She shared the belemnite battlefields as analogy. She even sent each kid home with their very own belemnite fossil!! Thanks for sharing your world with us Sarah!

This week's 4pm sessions are:

Wed - Science of Paintings
Learn from local living scientist Prof Christina Young about how to find out what old painting are made of, how they are ageing and if restoration ir preservation is needed. This is where physics, art and history meet!

Fri - Mini-beasts
The researcher that did the Birds session, Dr Stewart White, returns to talk about smaller creatures - all the creepy crawlies! Catch and identify your own minibeast, taking a closer look under a microscope.

Excited to share that we'll be welcoming 2 Nuffield placement students soon at the WeeMerryStems sessions. They'll contribute to designing a session and seeing how impactful it was. These are 12th year high school students considering a career in science and trying to enhance their university application/career prospects. Funded by Nuffield foundation and delivered by STEM learning
