Today, our amazing Year 7 students gave incredible performances of Shakespeare Rocks! After settling into life at The King’s so brilliantly during their first full week, they took to the stage with confidence, enthusiasm and plenty of talent!

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support them, and to the dedicated staff who guided and encouraged our young performers.

Photos will be shared once all relevant permissions and consents have been checked.

Well done, Year 7!

GIVE EXPERIENCE. BUILD CONFIDENCE. SHAPE FUTURES.

Could you, your workplace or someone you know help inspire our students?

We’re looking for local businesses, employers, parents and carers who could offer opportunities such as:

💼 Work experience
🏢 Workplace visits
🗣️ Careers talks
🛠️ Workshops or industry activities

Our students are helping to lead this campaign themselves, building confidence, communication skills and real-world experience along the way.

Even a few hours could make a huge difference to a young person’s future.

If you or your organisation could help, please get in touch with The King’s Church of England Academy using the link below.

WELLBEING WEDNESDAY - GETTING ORGANISED

Being organised can make school feel much less stressful. A few small habits can make a big difference!

1. Use a school bag and pack it the night before
2. Check you have the equipment you need for each lesson
3. Look ahead at your timetable, deadlines and upcoming events
4. Keep books, folders and notes in the right place
5. Give yourself enough time in the morning so you’re not rushing
6. Make a simple to-do list and tackle one thing at a time
7. Remember the little things too, like charging your laptop or device

Getting organised isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making things easier for your future self!

Character.AI enables users to create and interact with AI-powered characters that can behave like friends, mentors, fictional characters or romantic partners.

While these tools can feel engaging and emotionally supportive, they also introduce important safeguarding, wellbeing and privacy considerations for children and young people.

Our latest guide supports parents, carers and educators in understanding the risks and opening constructive conversations around AI companionship.

The guide explores:
• Inappropriate content and unreliable advice
• Emotional dependency and blurred boundaries
• Privacy concerns linked to personal information
• Warning signs such as secretive or excessive use
• Withdrawal from real-world activities and relationships
• Practical steps around age settings, limits and reporting concerns

With clear, accessible guidance, this resource helps adults support safer, more balanced and informed use of AI character platforms.
