Year 10 have been working exceptionally hard with Mr Jessop today, showing brilliant focus, engagement and determination in their learning. 👏

📚✨ Welcome to our NEW Reading Room! ✨📚

We are delighted to share a glimpse of our newly revamped Reading Room, now located in Room 1! 📖

We’ve created a calm, welcoming and inspiring space where students can develop their love of reading, build their confidence and enjoy getting lost in a good book.

📚 The Reading Room is open every lunchtime for all students to enjoy. Students are welcome to come along, choose a book, spend some time reading and borrow books to take away with them.

The room will also be used for reading interventions, Reading Buddies and dedicated reading time, as we continue to make reading a priority across Kidsgrove Secondary School.

A notice that School Photograph Day will take place at Kidsgrove Secondary School on:

Students will have their photographs taken during the school day by Academy Photos Ltd.

👔 Please make sure students arrive looking smart and wearing full school uniform, including their blazer and tie.

📷 Information about how parents/carers can view and order photographs will follow after photograph day.

🎉 A fantastic first day for our new Year 7s! 💜

Today we had the pleasure of officially welcoming our new Year 7 students to Kidsgrove Secondary School as they began their KSS journey.

We started the morning with a welcome breakfast in the gym, giving students and their parents/carers the opportunity to settle in and enjoy their first morning with us. 🥐☕

Then came one of the exciting moments of the day… unboxing their brand-new iPads! 📱✨ Students got their devices set up and ready to support their learning throughout their time at KSS.

Finally, everyone discovered which KSS House they will be representing! 🏆

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our students and families, improving attendance and helping to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
