Hedgehogs Preschool - Maryhill is looking for a qualified and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. If you are passionate about giving children the best start in life and enjoy working in a nurturing early years environment, we would love to hear from you!

What we’re looking for:

✔ Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification
✔ Paediatric First Aid trained
✔ Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
✔ Experience working within an early years setting
✔ A team player who is positive, reliable, and enthusiastic

Key qualities:

✨ Warm, caring, and patient with children
✨ Creative and able to provide engaging learning experiences
✨ Strong parent partnership skills and good communication with families
✨ Observant and able to support children’s development through play and learning

🌟 What a Funtastic Friday! 🌟

The children have had a wonderful day exploring the room and enjoying all the fun activities we had set out for them. It has been lovely watching them explore, use their imaginations and enjoy learning through play. 🥰🧸🎨

🌟 Another Super Fun-Filled Day at Hedgehogs Preschool! 🦔💛 🌟

What a wonderful day our little Hedgehogs have had! 🥰

🚗🚲 Outdoors, the children had lots of fun exploring our new ride-on cars and bikes, developing their coordination, balance and confidence as they zoomed around the garden!
🏖️ Inside, the fun continued as the children enjoyed exploring the sand, making sandcastles and digging. They also enjoyed lots of imaginative play in our home corner, looked through their favourite story books 📚, and worked together to build some mega towers! 🧱✨
It has been lovely watching the children use their imaginations, make their own choices and become completely absorbed in their play. ❤️
Another fantastic day of learning through play, exploring, creating and having fun! 🦔🌈

🦔🍂 Welcome back, our little Hedgehogs! 🍂🦔

What an amazing first day of the Autumn term we have all had! 🍁 We have been so proud of all our old and new children, who have been super well-behaved and had the best day settling back into pre school. ❤️

Today, we have been getting back into our daily routine with carpet time, ring games, Bucket Time and Dough Disco. 🎶🪣💃

It has been so lovely seeing everyone back together, having fun, making friends and enjoying lots of exciting activities. 🥰

A fun-filled day has been had by all! 🦔🍂❤️

🌞 Good afternoon everyone! 🌞

We hope all of our Hedgehogs families are having a wonderful summer and making lots of special memories with your little ones. 💚🦔

As we get ready to return in September, we would love for you to send us some family photos for our "All About Me" topic.

These could include: 📸 Your child with their family

🐾 Their pets
🎠 Fun places you've visited
🎨 Favourite activities you've enjoyed over the summer
❤️ Or photos of people who are important to your child

Please send your photos to us via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. We will print them ready for the children to enjoy sharing with their Hedgehogs friends when we return in September.

Today, the children enjoyed a yummy end-of-term treat! They had delicious fishcakes and chips with bread and butter, along with a selection of mushy peas, curry sauce, and gravy for dipping. To finish, everyone enjoyed a lovely ice cream. 🍦

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for the beautiful gifts, flowers, and cards. We feel incredibly spoilt and truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.

A massive goodbye and good luck to all of our little ones who are moving on to their new schools. We will miss each and every one of you so much, and we wish you all the very best for this exciting new chapter. ❤️

To all of our families who will be returning in September, we hope you have a wonderful, relaxing summer break. We can't wait to see you all again in September!

What a wonderful party day we are having 🎉

The children have enjoyed a delicious selection of yummy food and have had so much fun celebrating together.

The children all got creative decorating their party table cloth.

A heartfelt thank you to all our parents, grandparents, and carers for your incredibly generous food donations. Your kindness and support helped make today such a special occasion for the children. We are so grateful for everything you do to support our pre school ❤️
