In my journey as an early childhood consultant, I’ve discovered a profound truth: children move to a rhythm of their own choreography, a melody that echoes the heartbeat of life itself. This rhythm is the key to creating therapeutic spaces that not only nurture children but also inspire educators. When we design with the child’s well-being at the forefront, we create a symphony of growth and learning that resonates with everyone involved.

Educators who dance to this rhythm, who mirror it in their approach, unlock a mutual well-being that benefits both themselves and the children they guide. This pedagogical approach, rooted in respect, rhythm, repetition, inquiry, and imitation, allows children to learn from life itself, setting their own pace in harmony with their natural rhythm.

The Heart School captures hands-on learning beautifully!

Children's brains are wired for 'hands on' sensory experiences. They learn best when they are downloading at a cellular level. When they are sniffing the flowers and making potions from the lemon balm and rose petals, feeling the mud between their toes, skidding on the dirt, climbing the tree, listening to the bird's orchestra, checking out the scales of a lizard. Nothing beats the 'real thing'.

Children build their body of knowledge at a cellular level and the profound impact of love, time, care, and full attention locks those memories into both the body and the Heart.

When we ponder on our early school days, it is the memories that are wrapped in love and kindness that give us anniversaries of the heart. They are deposits held in our 'love account'. Only authentic experiences can truly touch the heart.

Respectful Care and the Relationship with the Adult

This course is designed for those who would like to acquire knowledge and be informed about the Pikler® approach. Participants will deepen their understanding about early childhood education through studying Pikler's most important pedagogical principles, learning about everyday experiences with children, and also through hearing about the results of research carried out by the Pikler® Institute.

This is the only accredited Pikler® training in the UK, led and certified by highly experienced caregivers and trainers from the Pikler® House in Budapest.
