We are saddened to hear that Chris Nicholls has recently passed away. Chris was a long serving, true friend of Cookley School who meant so much to us.
Since 1997, Chris served as a dedicated member of our governing body, giving his time generously and always putting the needs of the children and the school first. His thoughtful guidance helped shape decisions and ensure that our school remained a place where young people could thrive.
He was also a true advocate for Cookley in his role as a governor of the Sebright Educational Trust.
We are grateful for the many years he walked alongside us, and he will remain a cherished part of our school’s history.

Our thoughts are with his family.

Recently, the Computing lead at Wolverley Secondary school mentioned that children using a mouse is one their biggest computer-related issues (with most younger children and primary schools using Chromebooks or iPads). So, Mr Attwood sent out some emails and these two local companies have helped us out:
MFM-IT and SAC Graphics, both based in Stourbridge have kindly donated us a class set of mice and mouse mats, respectively. Thank you so much for your generosity. The children are already putting them to good use.

Penny wars… Final day. Who will win? 🏆

A brilliant afternoon of football yesterday afternoon at Kidderminster Harriers Centre of Sporting Excellence, with 220 Y5/6 pupils from 22 primary schools taking part, including our school team! They really enjoyed themselves, despite the rain. The team played so well, getting better and better the wetter they got! Won 2, drew 1 and lost 2 resulting in a 5th place finish in their league. Well done to the players and thank you to the parents that braved the weather to come along and support.

What a treat! Two of our ex-pupils, Hot Air Ballooning Champions, Dominic and Benedict Bareford, visited school with their competition balloon this morning.
Thank you - it really was fantastic to see you and the balloon and learn all about flying. Good luck in your competition in Japan at the end of this month. 🎈

Our Gardening Club children have made two fantastic scarecrows for the family harvest service at St Peter's Church tomorrow (Sunday) at 3:30. All welcome.

Today, our Year 2 children enjoyed the morning putting their sporting skills to the test. Thanks to the Wyre Forest School Sport Partnership for hosting the event.

Our Year 6 pupils have just returned home from their residential in France.
As well as visiting the capital, Paris, the children also spent an action packed day at Disney. They also tried their hand at making croissants at the bakery.
On the Wednesday, we spent a thought-provoking day visiting the World War One battlefields, cemeteries and memorials. The atmosphere was quiet and respectful as the children asked thoughtful questions and considered the importance of remembrance.
We hope their experiences will last a lifetime 🇫🇷
