🎃 PUMPKIN CHALLENGE STARTED TODAY 🎃

What a FANTASTIC morning we had starting our new challenge !

The children got started by playing a roll the pumpkin game and adding up their targets! Some also got busy creating some spooky, Halloween art using pumpkin seeds 👻

We then completed a Pumpkin inspired question hunt where children had to find pumpkin matches to check their answers and solve different equations!

We then got to go to our personal pumpkin patch and compare pumpkins! We looked at size and even got to complete some PE with our skills of balancing on the pumpkins 🎃 😂

We finished by weighing our pumpkins and measuring their circumference 📏

All in a days work 👏
Well done to ALL my fabulous learners today - you amaze me each and every session!!

A huge portion of my week is getting to spend time with my 1-2-1 students ☺️

And I must admit it’s one of my favourite times 🤩☺️ Getting to see the confidence slowly increase … watching those ‘I got it!’ moments 🌟 💫

Where did September go?? 🙈🙈 🕰️

I absolutely LOVED completing the T-Rex challenge through September 🥰 🦖

Well done to all the children who collected their badge last week 🏆 💪

Our last session was an Art focused lesson where the children got to explore Wax-resist paintings and printing! We even looked at the tracing technique to help us create the perfect dinosaur silhouette 🤩

Next month we are completing the pumpkin badge 🎃 💫 I AM SOOO EXCITED 🤩🤩 Who doesn’t love the autumn months?! 🍂

This morning we have our last session of the T-Rex challenge 🦖 ⭐️ I can’t believe it’s already badge week!!

Here are the photos from last weeks fact finding session!! Each child was presented with a dino skull, which they then had to complete mini tasks to discover which dinosaur it belonged to 🔍 🕵️ We looked at pronunciation, height and length, diet and even measuring footprints!!

In the starting tasks, children were encouraged to estimate and measure using cubes, discover different shapes to create a Dino image and turn take whilst discussing concepts! 🌟

A busy session but I LOVED IT 🥰

I cannot wait to be teaching all about the AMAZING T-REX 🦖 ⭐️

Over the summer I got to meet ‘Jam’ at the natural history museum 🦴

It was such a fun experience and even as an adult I was a little scared 😂🙈

Looking forward to passing some of this knowledge on in my Home Ed T-Rex challenge 😀
