A OCN Level 3 Forest school leader, Sandra runs Forest school and bushcraft activities for children in their own settings and at Bodenham Arboretum throughout the year for all ages. Sandra Hill is a Chartered Landscape Architect certified by the Landscape Institute

With over fourteen years experience in both private practice and local authority, we offer a full range of services, ranging from small local projects to major works, and everything in between. Sandra has a background in hardy nursery stock production and very good plant knowledge.

It's that time of year once again...pumpkin fever takes a hold!
Coem and join us this Halloween at Bodenham Arboretum....we will be toasting marshamallows on the fire as well as carrying out some integral actions on the evening - such as lighting up some 200 pumpkins!

Forest Fridays – The Three Bears… well, sort of!

Our theme for this morning’s Forest Friday was The Three Bears.

But, as is often the way at Forest School, the children had other ideas! 😂

The cars came out, ramps were built, tested, changed, extended and developed… and everyone was far too busy playing to worry much about our planned theme.
And that’s absolutely fine.

The best thing we can do is follow the children’s interests, give them the time and space to develop their play and see where it takes them.

We did manage to keep one little bit of the Three Bears theme though — porridge!

A smashing morning of playing, building, experimenting, chatting and enjoying being outdoors together.

Forest Fridays are every Friday at 10am at Bodenham Arboretum, for children aged 2–5 years.

Someone’s been eating my porridge!

This Friday morning, our Under 5s Forest School session at Bodenham Arboretum is all about Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

We’ll be heading into the woods for some Three Bears fun and cooking our very own porridge together – hopefully it will be just right!

A lovely morning of stories, outdoor play, exploring and cooking around the fire.
