The countdown is on!✨
 
Our students have been busy preparing for the Kidderminster Community Fashion Show, including creating a beautiful Forget-Me-Not Cape for Isobel Dale, a resident at Foley Grange Care Home whose long-standing support for KEMP Hospice inspired this special event. 💙
 
Join us on Friday 23 October as Foley Grange residents take to the catwalk alongside our community partners in support of KEMP Hospice.
 
🎟️ Tickets include refreshments
🎁 Raffle prizes to be won

What a brilliant two days at with Loud Speaker! 😃
 
Joni and Matt joined us at Kidderminster College to deliver the NCG Guarantee workshops, helping bring the five key areas of the NCG Guarantee to life for our students.
 
From exploring new ideas to sharing experiences with their peers, students were encouraged to think about the role the NCG Guarantee plays in their personal development. The workshops highlighted how skills in areas such as digital awareness, mental fitness and employability can help students make the most of their time at college and prepare for what comes next.
 
A huge thank you to Joni and Matt for bringing so much energy to the sessions! ⭐

Our Enterprise Shop is now open!🎃 
 
Our Enterprise students have officially opened their shop, and they’ve been busy getting everything ready for staff and students to pop in and have a look.
 
With a Halloween themed promotion to kick things off and fresh bakes, there’s plenty of reason to pay them a visit!
 
📍 Find the shop on the ground floor, near the Wellbeing Hub and staff room.
🕒 Check the opening times before visiting and remember, the shop is cash only.
 
The shop gives our students valuable hands on experience in running a business, from marketing and customer service to managing sales. If you’re on campus, why not pop in and show your support? 👏

Meet William Brooks, an Autocare Technician Apprentice at Kidderminster College, completing his apprenticeship with Geoff Hand Automotive Engineering.

William's journey into the motor vehicle industry started through work experience:

"I was inspired to start the Autocare apprenticeship after doing work experience at the garage. It showed me what it was like to be a mechanic, and I really enjoyed my time there so much that I wanted to take up a career in it."

Since starting his apprenticeship, William has gained hands-on experience in vehicle servicing, brake maintenance and essential workshop safety procedures.

Looking ahead, William has ambitious plans:

"My career goals are to run my own garage in a few years' time. This apprenticeship will help as I will be learning everything I need to know about fixing cars, but also how to talk to customers and other businesses."

The Autocare Technician Apprenticeship combines practical workplace experience with industry training, helping apprentices develop the technical skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the automotive sector.

Well done, William, and good luck as you continue your apprenticeship journey.

Our L3 Beauty students had the opportunity to attend an Aesthetics Masterclass at University College Birmingham, exploring what a future in beauty and aesthetics could look like. 💙
 
As part of the session, they listened to a talk about the FDA degree, took part in microneedling activities and learnt more about in depth skin analysis and consultations.
 
A great experience for our students to explore their options and get hands on with some of the skills involved in advanced beauty and aesthetics. ✨

Join us for the Kidderminster Community Fashion Show in aid of ! 💜
 
This special event brings together residents from Foley Grange Care Home and students from Kidderminster College for an afternoon of fashion, community spirit and fundraising.
 
Inspired by Foley Grange resident Isobel’s long-standing support for KEMP Hospice, the fashion show will see residents take to the catwalk with confidence, supported by students who have helped bring the event to life.
 
🎟️ Tickets include food and entertainment
🎁 Great raffle prizes to be won, including tickets for West Midlands Safari Park, Kidderminster Town Hall, The Civic Stourport and more.
