The wait is over...next year's 2027 musical production has finally been announced and we are super excited!

A sign up form to attend auditions will be sent to Year 4 and 5 pupils on Arbor today. As always, every pupil will have the opportunity to enjoy the show next May.

🐻💛 Run Pudsey is coming to Franche! 💛🐻

On Friday 13th November, children are invited to wear yellow, spotty or Children in Need-themed clothing and take part in our whole-school Run Pudsey challenge.

From Nursery to Year 6, pupils will complete laps of our 500m field to raise money for Children in Need. With lots of fun, plenty of enthusiasm and maybe even a little mud, we're looking forward to a fantastic day supporting a wonderful cause! 👟💛

Year 3 enjoyed an exciting money workshop run by HSBC this week.
The children explored the importance of saving money for holidays, considered the costs involved in travelling and going on holiday, and learned the difference between needs and wants. They had a fantastic opportunity to develop their financial awareness and think carefully about making sensible choices with money. 💷🏖️

A big thank you to HSBC for delivering such an engaging and valuable workshop!

📚 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Year 5 Learn and Share session! It was wonderful to see so many families taking part as we explored the importance of reading and the key skills of fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
The session also gave us the opportunity to share our current class text, Loki: A Bad God's Guide to Being Good. The children have been thoroughly enjoying the humour, mischievous adventures and larger-than-life characters, which have sparked lots of laughter and rich discussions in class.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our children develop a love of reading both at school and at home. 📖✨

In Year 3, we have started learning a brand-new story all about The Bear Who Went to War.

To help us remember the events, we have been adding actions to retell the story and have begun creating a story map together. The children have loved exploring this fascinating tale so far, and we are excited to see where this story takes us next!

This week, Reception have continued exploring our topic “Where Do I Belong?”

Our related text, Octopus Shocktopus, has given us plenty of inspiration for a creative challenge! The children have been busy designing and creating their very own Octopus Shocktopus snacks. They have truly enjoyed getting creative and bringing their designs to life!

After the fantastic success of this year's Moana performance, we are super excited for next year's show to be announced next Friday! If you can correctly guess in the comments below, you will win two front row tickets to a performance of your choice in May. Information about how pupils from Years 4 and 5 can audition will all be revealed on Friday 16th October too. 🎶

Year 3 enjoyed their first Learn and Share of the year! The focus was reading, and it was fantastic to explore and share a range of strategies that can be used at home to support children's reading skills and confidence.

A big thank you to all the families who attended. We look forward to seeing lots of happy reading at home!
