Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form GCSE Results

Students at Holy Trinity are delighted with their GCSE results and are now looking forward to progressing in their educational journeys.

Deputy Head Mrs da Costa remarked, “We have seen some excellent results again this year; English and Maths have continued to improve and are expected to be above the national average. It has been fantastic to work with these young people over the course of their GCSEs, observing them grow in confidence, determination, and resilience.”

Individual students with outstanding performances include Jack B, Jacob C, and Grace K, who achieved grades 7 and above in all of their GCSEs. Other notable results were achieved by Hugo G, Rose L, Gideon L, Brogan M, Faith N, Alex P, Gethin R, and Katie W.

Students have worked exceptionally hard over the past two years, facing various challenges, developing new skills, and becoming confident learners prepared to take on the world. They have achieved a comprehensive set of qualifications. We wish all the best to our students as they embark on their Sixth Form journeys and future careers.

Headteacher Mr Williams remarked, “It has been a pleasure to work with the Year 11 students during my first full academic year as Headteacher at HTS. I am pleased to see that they have achieved a strong set of outcomes and wish to thank the staff for their hard work and support in helping our students achieve their results.”

HTS Celebrates with Year 13 A Level Results:

There is once again much cause for celebration at Holy Trinity School after Sixth Form students achieved another year of impressive destinations following their A Level results. 100% of students who applied to university have secured their preferred choices and will continue their education in a diverse range of subjects.

Head of 6th Form, Mrs Fisher, stated that, “I am very proud of this cohort who have worked incredibly hard, achieved some very impressive results and are going onto some equally impressive destinations. I am proud of the young adults that they have become and it has been a privilege to watch them flourish. I wish them all the best with their next steps.”

All students should be rightly proud of their achievements but amongst the stand out performances were:

Miruna Butuc, who achieved and Distinction* in Business, an A in Psychology and a B in English Literature, and will gain a place at the University of Nottingham to study Politics and International Relations.

Mehar Sammi achieved a Distinction* in IT, a Distinction in Business and a B in Psychology, she will be going on to study Occupational Therapy at Worcester University.

Other courses and destinations include, Management at Warwick University, Mechanical Engineering at Plymouth University, Environmental Studies at Nottingham University, Law at Wolverhampton University, Computer Science at Brighton University, Games Art and Design at Plymouth University, Biomedical Science at Worcester University, Psychology at Plymouth University and one student is joining the Navy.

Mr Williams, Head teacher, commented: “I am delighted at the outcomes achieved by our sixth form students and send my fullest congratulations to them all. I would like to thank the teachers, support staff and parents for their commitment in encouraging our talented students during their time with us. We look forward to supporting every student to a positive destination at university, college or in an apprenticeship, further training or employment. I know that these young people will go on to achieve great things and make a positive contribution to society in the future. Well done and good luck to them all."

Severn Valley Railway and Bewdley Museum: This week Year 3 were evacuees for the day!
We travelled on the Severn Valley Railway to Bewdley Museum, where we visited a real World War 2 air raid shelter, experienced life during an air raid and the blackouts, and learnt how to "make do and mend".
Despite the weather being extremely hot, it was a wonderful end of the year for our Year 3 students, who all represented HTS perfectly. We wish all of our Year 3 students and their adults a wonderful summer.
