🗓️ As a new term begins at Deerhurst tomorrow, we are sending a huge, warm welcome to all the new families joining our nursery community this week!

🌱 We are so excited to watch your little ones grow, explore, and make their very first friends here.

🎒✨At the same time, our hearts are full as we say a final goodbye to our oldest children who are heading off to big school.

🎉 Hats off to our amazing Cohort 2026 leavers! We celebrated your graduation party in style with singing, dancing, bouncing, big laughs, and made wonderful memories. We are so proud of everything you achieved and cannot wait to see what you do next. Good luck on your next big adventure to Primary School 🎓✨

🌱 Big news! We have achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award with a DISTINCTION! 🏆

Our little eco-warriors and nursery team have been working incredibly hard to look after our planet, and we are absolutely thrilled to receive this top-tier recognition.

Here are just some of the amazing projects that helped us earn our distinction:

🏘️ Adopt a Street: Keeping our local community clean and litter-free.

🐝 Pollination Areas: Creating welcoming spaces for bees and butterflies.

🔋Battery Recycling: Safely collecting used batteries to protect the earth.

🪴Homegrown Goodies: Growing our own delicious fruit and vegetables.

🐻‍❄️Polar Bear Adoption: Protecting wildlife and learning about climate change.

🧦Clothing Swap Shop: Recycling outfits to reduce waste and promote sharing.

💛 Our nursery children have had such a lovely time taking part in Yellow Week, enjoying a range of fun yellow-themed activities while raising money for Primrose Hospice.💛

Yellow Week helps support the compassionate care Primrose Hospice provides to people with life-limiting illnesses, while also offering comfort and support to their families during incredibly difficult times.💛

We are so proud of our children for taking part with such enthusiasm, kindness and joy. Thank you to all our families for your generosity and support - together, we are helping make a real difference. 💛

🌼👧🧒 Little Hands, Big Impact! 🧹🌿

Our nursery explorers took a spring walk along the local canal with the Little Litter Warriors.

Whilst exploring water safety and the signs of Spring turning to Summer, we rolled up our sleeves and helped keep our community beautiful! 🌸💚✨

We’re so proud of our little eco-warriors for showing that even the smallest actions can make a big difference to our local community. 🌍💛
