About Me!

Hi!

My name is Katie, and I'm mum to two beautiful children.

I worked as a dissector in a Histology Laboratory before studying and gaining my PGCE in Secondary Science with QTS.

I home educated my son for over a year and have previously been an online tutor, so I know how important it is to adapt lessons and provide plenty of hands on work.

I can provide science tuition to GCSE level, and this can be done in your home or in the community (library /cafe/park). I am DBS checked and currently doing my Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism.

For 'The Human Body' block, we will be:

1. Looking at the respiratory system and making a model of the lungs.

2. Looking at the circulatory system and making a model of the system and a sensory 'blood' components bottle.

3. Looking at the digestive system and making our own working digestive system.

4. Looking at the skeletal and muscular system, making a moving model of the hand.

5 &6. Looking at the senses and doing a variety of experiments.

All of the sessions are hands-on, with little to no writing.

I'm a qualified science teacher and mum of 2 home educated kids. I run home ed science club sessions in Kidderminster.

Sessions can be drop-off and are held in 6 week blocks, the first one starting 11th September, looking at The Human Body.

Science club is hands on fun, with little to no writing involved. Worksheets will be provided should students/parents want to extend learning.

Sessions will be on a Monday as follows:

10:30-11:15 ages 4-6
1:30-2:15 ages 7-10

Groups will be of no more than 4 children. Block bookings can be made and will be £42 for the 6 weeks. Pay as you go spaces are available at £8 a session and are subject to availability.
