Young Gloves have always been so kind to donate to the PTA twice a year for the last 3 years running! We wanted to share the love too!!

🥋 New Children’s Karate Class in Cookley Village🥋

We’re pleased to share that Young Gloves Karate are launching a new children’s karate class at Cookley Scout Hut on Tuesday evenings from 5.00–5.45pm.

Many families may remember the karate sessions previously run at the school, and Young Gloves Karate are also generous donators to our raffles.

Their classes focus on helping children build confidence, discipline and self-defence skills, all while having fun in a positive and supportive environment.

We’re kicking off a new chapter, and need you to be a part of it!

You don't need to be a "professional volunteer" or have hours of free time.
Helping out, even just a little makes a massive impact!
Sometimes the best help isn't time, but a "know-how."
• Got a trade or a service?
• Have a fresh idea? If you’ve seen something work well elsewhere or have a thought on a new event, we’d love to hear it.
• Just want to be in the Loop? Get the inside track on what’s happening at school.

From funding classroom supplies and organising field trips to hosting discos and The Colour Run. The PTA helps make school memories extra special. Every penny raised and hour spent goes directly back to the kids.

📣 We’re Recruiting New PTA Members! 📣

You don’t need special skills, endless free time, or a loud personality. Every little bit of help counts, whether you can volunteer occasionally or want to be more involved.

Being part of the PTA is a great way to:
• Support school events and activities
• Help raise funds for resources and experiences for the children
• Meet other parents and work with staff in a positive, practical way
• Have a voice and ideas that benefit the whole school

What we are looking for:

Treasurer – what’s involved?
• Keeping a simple record of money coming in and going out
• Managing the PTA bank account
• Giving a basic financial update at meetings
(No accounting background needed. Just organised and reliable.)

Secretary – what’s involved?
• Taking brief notes at meetings
• Helping with emails, notices, or messages
• Keeping PTA information organised
(Perfect if you like lists and keeping things ticking along.)
