GCSEs: Strong improvement at GCSE for Kettering Buccleuch Academy

We are very excited to share a sneak preview of the progress of our brand new Sixth Form area. The Scott Sixth Form Centre will be up and running ready to welcome our Year 12 and 13 students in September and provides a bespoke study environment complete with seminar rooms, a kitchen and large study spaces. This has been purpose built for our students to provide a superb learning environment and to ensure they access the very best support.

🎓✨ We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students as they celebrate an outstanding set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results this summer.

A special congratulations goes to twins Kiran and Jeevan Taggar, who both achieved an incredible 2 A*s and an A, securing places at two prestigious universities. Kiran will be studying Law at the University of Warwick, while Jeevan is heading to the University of Nottingham to study Medicine.

Their success is part of a fantastic results day for KBA, with a 100% A Level pass rate and more than half of all entries achieving A-B grades*. Students have secured places at leading universities across the country, including Cambridge, Manchester, Warwick and Nottingham, as they take their next exciting steps.

We would like to thank our dedicated staff, supportive families and, most importantly, our hardworking students for their commitment and determination. Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Dear Parents/Carers Given the weather forecast for the remainder of the week, the decision has been made to continue with the temporary uniform arrangements currently in place until the end of the week, including Friday. Students may attend school either in their PE kit or in their usual school uniform without a blazer and tie. This is for Secondary and Sixth Form students. Subject: Annual PAT Testing of Student Devices

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our annual health and safety procedures, we are required to carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on all student devices used in school.

This year's testing will take place on Monday 13 July. To ensure that all devices can be tested, please make sure that your child brings the following items to school.
• Their school device (laptop/tablet)
• The device charger

It is important that both the device and charger are brought in, as both items need to be tested. Your child’s class teacher will know the arrangement for this to happen.

We are heartbroken to share that our Summer Fair on Wednesday 8th July cannot go ahead.

The rising temperatures mean it is simply not safe for our community to gather for long periods and the event will not be enjoyable.

Your safety always comes first, and we thank you for your understanding.

We have put so much effort into planning this event, so we hope to organise a new date in the upcoming academic year. Everyone will be warmly welcomed back then!

The shed will be open in the lead up to the end of the academic year, and we will be selling refreshment at the Summer Show Wednesday 8th July 6.30pm in the theatre 🎭
