Children’s Mental Health Week ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

This week the children have been taking part in a range of activities to help them develop their understanding of different emotions and how these can feel.

We read The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas as a way of exploring emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear and calmness. The story provided a gentle and age-appropriate way for children to identify and talk about their feelings.

Following the story, the children engaged in a sensory tray experience linked to the different colours and emotions in the book. This created opportunities for discussion about how emotions can change and how we might express them.

The activity also supported physical development through scooping, pouring and manipulating materials, helping to strengthen fine motor skills alongside promoting emotional literacy.

Mini Minds is growing!

We are soon opening a new baby room and expanding our 2-3 year old room.
