I was 15 in this photo, just starting college and trying to find my way. I thought I knew everything. Looking back, I was only just beginning.

It hasn’t always been easy, especially after moving out of home so young. But I’ve kept showing up for myself, day after day. I don’t think there’s another person on this planet who believes in my future quite as stubbornly as I do.

I’m still an optimist. I’m still striving for the absolute best. My passion and drive have never wavered, and I think that 15-year-old girl would be proud of where we are today. ❤️

What an amazing couple of days at Ideas Fest! 💡🌿

I was kindly invited along with my lovely friend Larissa, owner of The Expert Skin Clinic, who was up for an award, and after what has been a CRAZY busy summer, I don’t think I realised quite how much I needed these two days.

We have basically talked non-stop 😂 Business, life, ideas, challenges, plans and everything in between. There’s something so valuable about being able to properly debrief with someone who completely gets what it’s like to run a business.

Ideas Fest itself was absolutely brilliant. Held in the beautiful grounds of Champneys Tring, there were gorgeous bell tents, different stages and areas everywhere, talks on business strategy, investment, finance, growth and building meaningful conversations, alongside people pitching their businesses and sharing their ideas.

And of course… a jacket potato from Spudman, which I can confirm was AMAZING 😂🥔

What I loved most was the people. Everyone you spoke to seemed to have a story, a passion and a real meaning behind what they were trying to build. It was genuinely inspiring.

One of my biggest moments today was heading into Simon Squibb’s Dream Area and recording a video pitch for Blemish Pro, the sister business I created with my business partner Amy to support other advanced electrologists.

Blemish Pro has grown into something we’re both incredibly passionate about, and standing there talking about our dream for where we want to take it next was definitely a bit of a pinch-me moment!

Some of my other biggest takeaways came from Sarah Roughsedge’s talk around financial management and investment and hearing the Blue Ink app builder pitch.

Two days away from the day-to-day running of the salon has given me a chance to actually think, talk, listen and come home with my head FULL of ideas.

Feeling inspired, slightly exhausted 😂 and very excited about what’s next. 💙
