New Year’s Resolutions: Important or Overrated? 🤔

As we entered a new year, many people are busy setting resolutions, and while I think they have value, here’s my take:

If you’re not planning throughout the year, New Year’s resolutions are a bit... pointless.

Why?
Because business and life don't operate on a once-a-year planning cycle.

Over my 20 years of business experience and as a chartered accountant, I’ve learned the power of consistent goal-setting.

For me, planning isn’t just an annual event; it’s a habit.
✅ Weekly goals keep me on track with the day-to-day.
✅ Monthly goals ensure I’m making steady progress.
✅ Quarterly goals let me reflect, adjust, and push forward.

This approach ensures I’m constantly adapting, improving, and staying aligned with my bigger vision, because success isn’t built in one moment of inspiration on January 1st.

So yes, make your resolutions if they inspire you. But don’t stop there. Make planning, reviewing, and adjusting a year-round process.

That’s where real growth happens.
