🎄✨ After seeing my own children decide to write their Christmas lists before everyone arrived in the morning, I thought it would make the perfect rainy-day activity! ☔️🎅

The children had lots of fun drawing their own Christmas cards and pictures for Santa showing all of the things they’re wishing for this year. 🎨🎁 They then carefully popped their creations into envelopes and took them to the post box to send them on their way! 📮💌

Now we just have to wait and see if Santa receives them… 🎅✨

All things Autumn 🍁

A day full of autumnal fun! We explored our messy autumn tray, made conker spiders 🕷️ and created cosy habitats for our autumn animals. 🍂🦔

Our story sack, Owl Babies, was also a firm favourite today, with lots of little ones enjoying the story and joining in with the owl teddies. 🦉

🍠 Sweet Potato Bites 🍠

It was a real team effort at Roo’s as we worked together to make a delicious snack for everyone to enjoy! The children helped to peel, chop, weigh and mix the ingredients, working together to create our lovely sweet potato bites, suitable for even our youngest babies.

All of our activities at Roo’s are free-flow, meaning the children can get involved as much or as little as they would like. This gives them the freedom to explore at their own pace while developing confidence, independence and teamwork.

It was wonderful to hear the children chatting with each other about the different parts they played in making these delicious snacks. A fantastic example of learning, collaboration and having fun together! 💛🍠

🌿 A new adventure in the woods! 🌿

Today we headed off on a new adventure to the woods close to our playgroup.

We read stories as we wandered, flew around with our wings, and took it in turns to use the map to help direct us back to the car. 🗺️✨

The children discovered that someone had been busy building a den. They looked carefully at how it had been made and then used their own twigs and branches to create a miniature version of their own. 🌳🪵

The older children walked such a long way today and, amazingly, they didn’t complain once! So, before we headed back, we popped into the shop for a very special treat. ❤️

We had so many fun activities at the hall today! 🎨🐄

The children enjoyed getting stuck into some messy painting and stamping, as well as exploring our farmland sensory tray. The Weetabix were a big hit with both the animals and the children 😂! 🐷🐮

We also worked together to make our way through the maze and practised following directions carefully, before challenging ourselves to build a tower. Lots of teamwork, problem-solving and fun! 🌾🧩🏗️

This week the children created their own beautiful mosaic artwork, and once everyone had finished.

One of our older children had the lovely idea of setting up some activities for the littlest Roo’s after noticing how much they enjoyed singing “5 Little Ducks.” 🦆 They created a fun duck trail and a sensory tray for them to explore.

It’s been wonderful to see the children sharing ideas, working together and thinking about how they can include and support one another. 💛

Today we hired a beautiful village hall, and it was the perfect space for all of our Roos to play, both indoors and outdoors.

We brought along some of their favourite toys and, of course, our craft box! The safe and picturesque garden provided a wonderful place to explore, enjoy garden games, and create magical potions together.

We were so excited to visit the library now that it has moved back to its original building. Sharing stories together was wonderful, and one of the highlights was seeing our older children enthusiastically reading to the younger ones. ❤️

The bus journey was an adventure in itself, with everyone having great fun spotting red cars along the way! 🚍🚗

We got creative by spinning to make colourful masterpieces before enjoying games and laughter with our friends. 🫟
