We love the support our long-term members give to our Youth Team! 💙⛵️

Today, Nigel supported a few of the youth crew out on the water, instructing them during the main race.

Week by week, they’re building their skills, confidence and, most importantly, their love of sailing. 🌊🙌

What a stunning photo taken by our very own Cransley Sailing Club Commodore Susie B this evening during Tuesday night racing. 📸

Cransley Sailing Club really is one of the most photogenic reservoirs, especially when the sun starts to set.

There’s something pretty special about watching the boats race across the water as the evening light comes in. ❤️

When the wind has other ideas… 🌬️⛵

Sometimes the wind is just too strong to get everyone safely out sailing. But that doesn’t mean the learning stops!

Today our youth sailor trainers used bin bags into sails, learning about wind direction, sail trim and racing tactics in a whole new way. 🗑️💨

Who knew a bin bag could be so competitive? 😄 It’s all about building confidence, developing skills and proving that every day on the water is a chance to learn something new.

That’s sailing for you… adapt, improvise and have fun! 🌊

What a fantastic day at the Northants Youth Series at Cransley Sailing Club on 1st August! ⛵️☀️

It was brilliant to see 16 young sailors out on the water, giving it their all, learning new skills, supporting one another and, most importantly, having fun.

The smiles at the end of the day said it all. The prize giving was a real highlight, with well deserved awards for the top performances, alongside some comedy prizes that had everyone laughing. It was wonderful to see every sailor celebrated and recognised for being part of such a great day.

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to all the volunteers, parents and supporters who helped make the event such a success. We can't wait for the next one!

⛵️💙
