ποΈ Summer Camp β Week 2 | Day 1 ποΈ
We were back at Desborough Cricket Ground for another action-packed day of multi-sport fun! ππ»
The weather was kind to us once again β a cool start with the sun soon shining down as we kicked things off with a fun game of Catch the Tail (Tag Rugby). π We developed our rugby skills, practised throwing and finished with some fun team games.
After a well-earned break and a chance to refuel, it was time for archery! πΉ We started with our safety briefing and some basic instructions before the children got stuck into their shooting.
After lunch, we had a tense team archery competition, which eventually went to sudden death! π
The Orange Team held their nerve and took the win with the very last arrow! π§‘π―ππ»
The afternoon was packed with even more fun β football, frisbee, more archery and even some fidget-toy chill-out time for those moments when we needed to recharge. β½οΈπ₯πΉ
Another brilliant day of being active, trying new things, making friends and having fun!
Oliver & I are already raring to go again tomorrow! ππ»βΊοΈ

ποΈ Camp Day 5 β Desborough
Final day of the weekβ¦ and once again the sun was shining kindly on us βοΈ
Today brought a close to a fun-packed week full of energy, enthusiasm, new sports, laughter and great memories.
The children were absolutely fantastic all week long π
We started our final day with some brilliant archery team games, and the competitive spirit was definitely on show β everyone wanted to win! π
π―
At our local home of cricket, it felt only right to finish with a fantastic cricket session. We worked on fielding, throwing down the stumps, and then split into two teams for a lively cricket match π
There was also a football match for those who fancied it, while others enjoyed a giant game of Snakes and Ladders β½ππ²
In between, the children squeezed in even more archery, football, rounders, volleyball and the assault courseβ¦ phew! π₯΅
To finish the day, everyone received a participation certificate while we relaxed and cooled down together. We also handed out some special camp awards to a number of children who had really thrown themselves into the week and made a big impression ππ»π
π Final Camper of the Day: Breckon ππ»
A huge thank you to all the children and parents for making this such a brilliant week.
Weβll be back to do it all again in a couple of weeksβ¦ and we canβt wait! πππ₯³

ποΈ Camp Day 4 β Desborough
Windyβ¦ windyβ¦ and even windier! π
π¨
It was a chilly start to the day π₯Ά, but we soon got moving and warmed up with some fun tennis challenges πΎ. The children worked on their balance, coordination, and soft touch, trying to keep the balls on their rackets for as long as possible, counting higher and higher numbers and beating their own personal bests! ππ»
After our break, out came the footballs β½. We began with an energetic game of Football Tag (Catch the Tail) before focusing on ball control and close dribbling skills. The children then moved into some exciting 1v1 games, where everyone embraced the challenge and really stepped up to the plate ππ
Next up was Rounders! π We started with a fun toss, catch, and movement game, then progressed to batting from a tee, with plenty of powerful whacks and lots of points being scored! π₯β
To finish off a busy and action-packed day, we played a fantastic game of Diamond Rounders, which had everyone running, laughing, and working brilliantly as a team ππββοΈπββοΈ
π
Another very busy day at camp, with lots of smiles, energy, and great effort from all of the children! ππ»ποΈ

ποΈ *Camp: Day 3 β Desborough π
A very windy day up at the cricket club, with a little rain first thingβ¦ but it certainly didnβt dampen the childrenβs spirits! π§οΈπ¨π
We kicked off the day with a fun game of Catch the Tail (bulldog style πββοΈπββοΈ), followed by some rugby challenges involving throwing, catching and kicking through targets ππ―
Before and after lunch, it was only fitting that we made the most of our surroundings and enjoyed plenty of cricket! ππ»π
The children took part in a Catch & Collect team game, learned how to bowl and bat like the professionals, and then finished with a competitive match to put their new skills into action! π₯π
In between all of that, we coloured, played, chased, danced, laughed and generally had an absolute hoot! π¨πΆπ
I know quite a few children who will be sleeping very well tonight! π
π΄
Bring on Day 4 tomorrow! ππ»ποΈ

After lunch, we grabbed the Ultimate Frisbees and worked on our throwing technique with a partner before moving on to some fun target practice in the football goal and trying to land the frisbee in different point-scoring zones! π―π₯
Following a quick refresh break, our younger campers took on a board gameβstyle obstacle course, while the older campers enjoyed a competitive game of FootGolf β³β½
Later in the afternoon, the children had the chance to choose their own activity during Open Play. Some created their own obstacle courses (which were absolutely brilliant!), others opted for a game of Rounders, and a few headed back to enjoy another go at Archery πΉ
All in all, it was another action-packed day full of fun, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of energy! π₯π
Weβll recharge tonight and go again tomorrow! ππ
(Hopefully the gazebo is still standing in the morningβ¦ π¬π€π»)
