A brilliant first week of pre-season! 💙🖤

Over 70 players have attended across the week for our Men’s and Ladies programmes, and today we had two brilliant games at Kettering for our Under-19s and Under-23s.

Under-19s

Our Under-19s fought back from 1-0 down in a game where, in truth, they had been in control for long periods.

New first-year Daren Choga deservedly got his goal after a lively performance to make it 1-1. Then, in the final quarter of the game, we found the deserved winner.

A really positive performance from the group after just two days back in training. 👏

Under-23s

Our Under-23s put in a brilliant performance from the first minute.

First-year Mason Jarvis should have opened the scoring but was incorrectly called offside. However, he was soon involved in the opener, with Emerson Lloyd cutting back inside the six-yard box to poke home his first of a brilliant hat-trick.

Jarvis was then involved in the second, winning the ball back on the edge of the Birmingham box before driving into the area and being brought down. He calmly slotted away the resulting penalty to make it 2-0.
Lloyd added his second with the goal of the game. Fantastic movement saw him slipped in behind before he finished brilliantly.
He then completed his hat-trick to make it 4-0, before first-year Max McEwan deservedly grabbed a fifth in the final minutes. It was fantastic to see the desire in just a pre season game to keep a clean sheet too and hopefully those good habits continue on into the season.

Some really impressive performances throughout. Taylor-Jacob is now in fantastic physical shape and was very impressive, while our first years in Mason Jarvis, Dan Swinfen, Max McEwan, Toby Dann and Tyler Parish all stepping up to the under 23s in their first game all gave themselves a brilliant introduction and showed plenty of their ability. 👏

A fantastic start to pre-season with lots of positives to build on.

Meet Coach G – Netball Academy Head Coach | England Netball Level 1 Coach

Gráinne, better known as G, joins the Tresham Sport team with a passion for all things netball. A self-confessed netball addict, if there’s a game on, you’ll find her there! Whether she’s playing, coaching or supporting from the sidelines.

Currently an England Netball Level 1 Coach and preparing to begin her Level 2 qualification, G is passionate about creating a positive environment where players feel supported, encouraged and empowered to develop both their skills and confidence on and off the court.

Her enthusiasm for the game, combined with her commitment to helping every player reach their potential, makes her an exciting addition to the Tresham Netball Academy.

Last Friday, our Sports Academy players, coaches, and tutors came together to celebrate the successes of our academy and what has been a fantastic season!

A huge congratulations to all of our athletes who won awards, as well as the students who received academic awards. It was fantastic to see some students achieving success in both their sporting and academic pursuits! 👏

It was also great to spend time with everyone after the ceremony as we came together to enjoy a buffet and drinks, say goodbye to our graduating athletes, and wish a “see you soon” to those returning next year. 💙🖤

💙🖤⚽️ FOOTBALL ACADEMY PRESEASON SCHEDULE ⚽️🖤💙

We are absolutely delighted to unveil the first three weeks of our Summer Preseason Schedule!

There are some fantastic fixtures ahead for both our men’s and women’s academy players. Highlights include a trip to Birmingham City FC — the former club of academy coach Richard Scott, who began his football journey with the Blues — as well as exciting matches against Future Pro and Pro:Direct Academy Peterborough.

Our women’s academy side also has a fantastic fixture to look forward to against Tamworth F.C.

These opportunities provide invaluable experiences for our players as they prepare for the season ahead, competing against strong opposition and continuing their development both on and off the pitch.

We are not your usual college academy.

What a fantastic way to finish our Football Academy season! ⚽️🙌

Monday kicked off with our first-ever Golf Day at Priors Hall Golf Club ⛳️🏌️‍♂️ Everyone involved had a brilliant day — even if there were a few questionable scorecards along the way 👀 ( to name a couple 🤥). It’s definitely something we’ll be doing again, with eyes already on the next Golf Day in August!

Tuesday then brought the annual Tresham Cup, where players were randomly selected into teams to battle it out for the honour of being crowned Tresham’s best. After a fantastic morning of football, the White Team, led by captain , came out as deserved winners 🏆

Wednesday capped off a brilliant week as we headed to Loughborough for their annual end-of-season tournament as defending champions. Entering two teams, we arrived with high hopes — and the boys certainly delivered. Both teams put in outstanding performances, resulting in an all-Tresham final, with the Black & Whites bringing the trophy home 🏆

That officially wraps up our season, but there’s still plenty to look forward to! We’ve got our end-of-season awards ceremony coming up, followed by our June training camp for new players — with more details dropping tomorrow ⚽️👀
