It is with a heavy heart that I write this post, with immediate effect Ladybird Childminding Kettering is now permanently closed.

Unfortunately we are closed due to my daughter testing positive for covid and needing to isolate. We hope to be back soon

More fun on music Monday at 🐞 HQ this morning.

Today we have had more fun with Kinetic sand, we have made music, explored the many uses of the wobble board before heading off to wicksteed Park for a play in the sand and finished the day off with some dancing in the garden and bubbles.

We've had another busy day at Ladybird HQ 🐞 today was totally child led, E wanted to show L kinetic sand, L had a tea party, we sang nursery rhymes with our instruments and walked to the shop, we used stacking toys too. Who's for a nap? 😴

I and E have opened their very own ladybird cafe 🐞 they worked as a team and learnt to take turns in their imaginative play cooking all sorts of healthy meals for their cafe customers

We love to make our own pizzas, choosing our own toppings, stretching the dough and tasting our colourful creations 🍕

A box creates so many opportunities for play, today the children have boxed up their favourite items for a surprise delivery, used their tool kit to saw, hammer and measure the box and played hide and seek before "moving house" and creating a space to read and snuggle down with their teddies 🧸

We've had a busy morning with our natural musical instruments, listening to the sounds they make when we shake, tap and bang 🎼 we sang nursery rhymes and read a story about a little Acorn before having our morning snack and nap time 😴 what a wonderful way to build relationships, explore self awareness and our creativity.
