Lakes Language Hub Welcome to the Lakes Language Hub - Promoting Language Learning Across Cumbria

The Lakes Language Hub, led by Keswick School and Ulverston Victoria High School, serves schools across Cumbria, and aims to promote and improve the teaching of Foreign Languages across the region. With teachers and learners at the heart of everything we do, we provide CPD and training opportunities for teachers, as well as cultural events and careers advice for pupils. Our mission is to foster a

love of language learning across our Cumbrian schools, as well as boosting uptake and examination outcomes at GCSE and A-Level.

Keswick School and Mrs Jackson (Latin teacher) have been on the BBC news at lunchtime today with a story about the loss of Latin as a subject in state sector schools. We are delighted to be able to offer Latin as an extra option after school. A link to the article is in the bio and a longer feature will be on the news this evening
