🐞🍂 AUTUMN & HARVEST AT SNUG BUGS! 🍂🐞

What a wonderful week of autumn adventures we’ve had at Snug Bugs! 🌰🍁✨

Our little Snug Bugs have been busy exploring the changing seasons, discovering the wonders of nature and learning all about harvest through lots of hands-on, playful experiences. 🌿

🍂 We’ve enjoyed exploring natural treasures, getting creative with autumn-inspired art, discovering textures through sensory play and using our imaginations in our autumnal small-world adventures.

🔢 Our focused learning activities have given the children opportunities to develop their early maths, phonics, mark making, name recognition, shape and colour awareness, as well as their fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities.

🌳 Outdoors, we’ve been budding nature detectives, investigating our surroundings, noticing seasonal changes and developing our curiosity about the world around us.

🎶 We’ve also enjoyed stories, singing, movement and plenty of opportunities to learn together, build friendships and grow in confidence!

Most importantly, we’ve been encouraging our children to become confident, independent and resilient little learners, following their interests and celebrating every new discovery along the way. ❤️🌱

🐌🐋📚 A Week of Wonderful Stories at Snug Bugs! 🐀🌿🐞

What a fantastic week we’ve had at Snug Bugs exploring the wonderful world of Julia Donaldson! 💚 From travelling on exciting adventures with The Snail and the Whale, to outsmarting The Highway Rat and discovering the magic of The Gruffalo’s Granny, our week has been filled with storytelling, imagination and lots of fun! ✨

The children have enjoyed bringing their favourite stories to life through imaginative role play, creative activities, sensory exploration, music and movement, alongside plenty of outdoor adventures. 🌳🎨

Our focused learning experiences have offered wonderful opportunities to develop early literacy, communication, mathematical thinking, creativity and physical skills, with activities tailored to the children’s individual interests and stages of development. We’ve loved seeing their confidence grow as they shared ideas, explored new experiences and learned together through play. 💚

From little storytellers to imaginative adventurers, it’s been a week full of curiosity, laughter and a growing love of books! 📖🐌🐀

🐞✨ A Week of Celebrating What Makes Us Unique at Snug Bugs! ✨🐞

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Snug Bugs as we continued our ‘All About Me’ topic with our focus on ‘My Unique Qualities’! 💕🌈

This week has been all about celebrating the things that make each of us special, individual and unique. We’ve talked about our families, our feelings, the things we enjoy and the qualities that make us who we are. 🥰

The children have enjoyed exploring emotions and facial expressions, talking about how different feelings can make us feel and discovering ways we can help ourselves when our emotions feel big. We’ve also enjoyed lots of opportunities to explore sounds, colours, shapes, numbers and mark making, building confidence and developing new skills through fun, hands-on experiences. 🎨🔤🔢

Our week has been filled with creative activities, imaginative small-world play, sensory exploration and physical challenges, giving the children plenty of opportunities to make choices, share their ideas, solve problems and learn alongside their friends. 🌿🏠🎭

We’ve also been encouraging the children to talk about their own experiences and interests, listen to others and discover the wonderful similarities and differences between us. Most importantly, we’ve been reminding the children that there is nobody else quite like them — and that’s something to celebrate! 💕✨

It has been lovely to see the children growing in confidence, independence and self-awareness as they celebrate their own qualities and those of their friends.

🐞💛 A Wonderful Week at Snug Bugs! 💛🐞

What a lovely week we’ve had as we continued our “All About Me” theme, giving the children lots of opportunities to explore what makes each of us special, unique and wonderfully individual! 🌈

We’ve been talking all about ourselves, our families, our friends, our feelings and the things we enjoy, sharing our own experiences and discovering the similarities and differences between us. 🥰

Our week has been filled with plenty of hands-on fun, including stories and story sacks, creative activities, sensory play, mark making, construction, puzzles, threading, phonics, numbers, shapes, sorting games and lots of imaginative play. 📚🎨🧩🔢

The children have particularly enjoyed exploring faces and facial expressions, homes and families, likes and dislikes, friendships and the people who are special to us. We’ve also been busy getting creative with autumn-inspired activities and enjoying lots of opportunities to explore our beautiful outdoor environment. 🍂🦔

Our focused learning experiences have encouraged the children to develop their communication and language, confidence, emotional awareness, early literacy and maths skills, fine motor control, creativity and independence — all through fun, purposeful play. 🌟

Most importantly, it has been wonderful to see the children sharing their ideas, listening to their friends, celebrating what makes them unique and growing in confidence as part of our Snug Bugs family. 🐞❤️

🐞💕 What a lovely week at Snug Bugs! 💕🐞

This week we continued our “All About Me” topic, with a special focus on our emotions, families and what makes each of us unique. 🌈😊

We have been chatting about our feelings and exploring what makes us happy, sad, angry, worried and excited, helping the children to recognise and express their emotions and understand that everyone can feel differently. 💕 We have also been talking about our families, the people who are important to us and celebrating the fact that every family is special and unique. 🏠🥰

The children have enjoyed lots of opportunities to talk about their likes and dislikes, including exploring our favourite foods and discovering what they have in common with their friends. 🍝🍓

🎨 Focused learning time has provided opportunities to develop early phonics and literacy, number recognition, counting, sorting, colours, shapes, mark making, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving and communication – all through fun, purposeful activities tailored to the children's developing interests and needs. ✏️🔢🌈

🌿 Outside, we have enjoyed plenty of sensory play, imaginative role play and physical activities, with the children often taking our activities in their own wonderful directions!

It has been lovely to see the children growing in confidence, independence and emotional resilience, sharing their ideas, listening to their friends and developing a wonderful sense of who they are. 🐞💕

🐞💕 ALL ABOUT ME at Snug Bugs! 💕🐞

What a fantastic week we’ve had exploring our “All About Me” theme! 🌈✨

We’ve been discovering what makes each of us unique, talking about our feelings, emotions, families, interests and individual features, and celebrating all the wonderful things that make us who we are. 🥰👀💕

Our little Snug Bugs have been busy learning through play, with lots of opportunities to explore early phonics, letters and sounds, names, mark making, shapes, numbers, counting, sorting and problem-solving. 🔤🔢✏️🔺

🌿 Outdoors, we’ve been keeping busy with climbing, balancing, jumping, obstacle courses, sensory play, treasure hunts and exciting investigations into movement and speed! 🚗🏃‍♀️🔎

🎨 Inside, there has been plenty of creativity and imagination too, with stories, role play, messy play, mark making and opportunities to create, design and express our own ideas.

🎶 We’ve also enjoyed lots of singing, rhymes, movement and group activities, giving the children opportunities to listen, communicate, cooperate and build confidence together. 🌈

Most importantly, we’ve seen our children becoming increasingly confident, independent and resilient learners, developing friendships, expressing themselves and having the confidence to have a go! 🌱✨

We are so proud of all our little Snug Bugs and the wonderful enthusiasm they have shown this week. ❤️

🐞🌿 WHAT A WONDERFUL FIRST WEEK BACK AT SNUG BUGS! 🌿🐞

What a fantastic week we have had! 💚 After a lovely summer break, it has been wonderful to welcome back our returning Snug Bugs and give a very special WELCOME to all of our new little faces joining us for the first time! 🥰🐞

This week has been all about settling in, making connections, building confidence and having lots of fun along the way! From getting to know our routines and grown-ups to making new friends and exploring all that Snug Bugs has to offer, the children have embraced their first week back brilliantly. 🌈✨

🍕 WELCOME TO THE SNUG BUGS PIZZA PARLOUR! 🍕
Our home corner has had a fabulous transformation, and our little chefs have been incredibly busy! There have been pizzas to make, ingredients to choose, orders to take and plenty of imaginary customers to keep happy! 👨‍🍳🍅🧀

Through our pizza adventures, the children have been developing their communication, imagination and social skills, while naturally exploring counting, shapes, sizes and early mark making. Who knew pizza could provide so much learning?! 😋🍕

🦖 DINOSAUR STOMPS & BIG BUILDING! 🦖
There has been plenty of construction, creativity and problem-solving as the children experimented with Play Mags, creating their own structures before sending the dinosaurs in for a very exciting Dinosaur Stomp! 💥🦕

We have also seen some fantastic teamwork as the children worked together to create huge train tracks, adding signals and working out how all the different pieces fitted together. 🚂

🌿 OUTDOOR EXPLORERS! 🌿
Our garden has been full of activity, from painting and mark making to obstacle courses, imaginative shop trips and plenty of opportunities to develop those important gross motor skills.

The children have been climbing, balancing, stepping, jumping, navigating obstacles and challenging themselves in lots of different ways. 🤸‍♀️🌈 We have loved watching them encourage each other and celebrate their achievements!

🎶 SINGING, MUSIC & MOVEMENT! 🎶
Our voices have certainly been busy this week! We have enjoyed familiar songs, action songs, song props and our ever-popular spoons, encouraging the children to listen, sing, copy actions, explore rhythm and express themselves through movement. 🥄🎵

We have also enjoyed our morning chats, including learning our days of the week, singing “My Name Is” and beginning to use Makaton greetings. It has been lovely watching the children grow in confidence as they recognise names, communicate with one another and become part of our Snug Bugs community. 💕

🔤 A LITTLE BIT OF PHONICS FUN! 🔤
We have also started exploring our phonics, listening carefully to sounds and having fun with our 's' sound, songs, rhymes and i-spy activities. 🐍⭐ These little moments are helping to build the foundations for early reading and writing while keeping learning playful and engaging.

🫧🍰 MESSY, SENSORY & CREATIVE PLAY! 🍰🫧
From shaving foam cake making and mark making to experimenting with cars, ramps and movement, the children have been busy investigating how things work and using their imaginations to create their own ideas.

There has been so much learning through play happening naturally all around us — developing communication, confidence, creativity, physical skills, problem-solving, independence and those all-important relationships along the way. 🌿💚

As we begin a new school year, we want to send the biggest hugs and very best wishes to all of our wonderful Snug Bugs who are starting school this week. 🥹💕

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and all that you have achieved during your time with us. From your very first days at Snug Bugs to becoming confident, curious and capable little learners, it has been an absolute privilege to watch you grow. 🌈

🐞🌞 What a Fantastic Final Week at Snug Bugs! 🌞🐞

As another amazing year comes to an end, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful Snug Bugs families for your continued support. ❤️

This week has been packed with laughter, learning and unforgettable memories! Our little learners have explored shapes, numbers, letters, rhyming, storytelling, sensory play, construction, science, creativity and imaginative role play through lots of hands-on adventures. From building garages and washing cars 🚗, creating delicious imaginary lemonade and cakes 🍋🧁, making paper aeroplanes and investigating the wind ✈️, to dancing with bubbles, singing with silly spoons 🎶 and celebrating with friends, every day has been filled with curiosity, confidence and smiles.

A huge highlight of the week was our Graduation Celebration on Thursday. 🎓🐞 It was such a special afternoon welcoming our families, enjoying our Summer Sing Along and picnic together, and celebrating our wonderful school leavers. Watching them perform with such confidence and receive their graduation certificates made us all incredibly proud. Although it's always emotional saying goodbye, we know each and every one of them is ready for their next adventure and we wish them every success as they begin big school. 💛

To all of our amazing children—thank you for filling Snug Bugs with your laughter, kindness, imagination and endless enthusiasm for learning. It has been a privilege to watch you grow into such confident, caring and capable little learners.

🌻 We wish all of our families a wonderful, safe and relaxing summer!

📅 Snug Bugs is now closed for the summer break and will reopen for our Holiday Club on Monday 3rd August.

🎉 We still have a few Holiday Club spaces available! If you would like your child to join us for some summer fun, please get in touch as soon as possible and we'll be happy to book them in.

🎓✨ What an incredible week we've had at Snug Bugs! ✨🎓

This week's theme has been Preparing for School, and we have loved supporting our little learners as they continue their journey towards this exciting new chapter. ❤️ Through play, exploration and meaningful conversations, we've been helping to build confidence, emotional resilience and independence, ensuring every child feels ready to spread their wings. 🦋

💛 We've spent lots of time talking about emotions, sharing our thoughts about starting school and discovering that it's perfectly normal to feel excited, nervous and everything in between. Our Snug Bugs showed such kindness and empathy as they listened to one another and supported their friends. 🥰

🔬 Our budding scientists have been busy making predictions and investigating the world around them! From mixing primary colours to create new ones 🎨, to discovering how a pine cone changes when it gets wet 🌲💦, the children have been asking thoughtful questions, making observations and delighting in finding the answers together.

📚 Storytelling has sparked plenty of imagination too! We enjoyed revisiting Room on the Broom, retelling the story, sequencing events and talking about wonderful themes such as friendship, teamwork and kindness. 🧙‍♀️✨

✏️ Our school readiness activities have continued throughout the week with lots of opportunities to strengthen early literacy and maths skills. From practising our familiar s, a, t, p, i, n sounds and letter formation, to number games, measuring, sorting and problem-solving, the children have approached every challenge with enthusiasm and growing confidence. 🌟

🌳 One of the highlights of the week was undoubtedly our Sponsored Woodland Scavenger Hunt! Armed with clipboards and pencils, the children became nature detectives as they searched for woodland treasures, enjoyed a story beneath the trees, went on a Bear Hunt, explored bark rubbing and finished with a lovely picnic together. A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families who joined us and everyone who has generously sponsored the children. Your support means so much to us! 💚🐞🍃

🎵 We were also delighted to welcome Jean back for more French songs, while the children have continued practising enthusiastically for our Graduation Sing-a-Long. We can't wait to celebrate this very special milestone together! 🎶🎓

🌞 With the warmer weather, we've made the most of outdoor learning, enjoying refreshing water play, imaginative role play, creative mark making and plenty of opportunities to laugh, explore and learn together. 💦🚗🖍️

As another wonderful week comes to an end, we couldn't be prouder of how much our Snug Bugs have grown in confidence, resilience and independence. Watching them encourage one another, celebrate each other's successes and embrace new experiences has been truly heartwarming, we're excited to celebrate with you all next week for our final week of the school year❤️

We can't wait to celebrate our amazing children as they take their next exciting steps on their learning journey. 🌈✨
