Sunshine & Showers - Dymchurch Sunshine & Showers nursery caters for children 2 to 4 years, we are open from 8 until 3.15 Monday to Friday term time only.

We offer 15 hours free early education to 2 year olds if eligible all 3 and 4 year olds and where eligible up to 30 hours. The nursery is based within Dymchurch Primary School, and is situated between the reception class and the children’s centre in a large classroom ideally resourced for early years use. The nursery has its own cloakroom and toilet facilities and also benefits from the use of the

school hall, courtyard and cookery room for extra activities. The nursery also has a large outdoor area which is able to be used all year round; it also has the use of the playgrounds and the wooden adventure area “Wobbly Wood”. Sunshine and Showers is a privately run nursery that has been operating since 1994. We are registered to provide free early education for 3 and 4 year olds, and also to 2 year olds where eligible. Aims of the Nursery
The main aim of the nursery is to provide a safe, caring and happy environment which allows children to be inspired to learn and develop as individuals and also one in which their physical, emotional, social, linguistic and intellectual needs are met. We aim to provide a secure framework that enables children to take their first steps towards independence as they are separated from their carer for increasing lengths of time. We aim to provide the opportunity for parents and nursery to work together as a partnership bridging the gap between school and home. Thus ensuring that those experiences are relevant to the child and that both they and their parents/carers are fully prepared for the transition to primary school. Working within a framework that ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families we aim to extend the range of learning experiences through play and interaction focussed on each child’s individual interest with resources, environment and people enabling all children to achieve their full potential. By providing new and varied learning opportunities we aim to extend children’s knowledge and understanding of the world outside the home

With some local schools already staying closed due the weather conditions, we would strongly recommend to keep your little ones at home if you're able too, however we are still open until further notice.
