A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 6 on a truly wonderful school play!

You performed with confidence, humour and heart, and we couldn't be prouder of everything you achieved.

As you move on to the next chapter of your journey, remember that you are like tiny pebbles dropped into water. The ripples spread far and wide. The choices you make, the kindness you show and the courage you display will continue to influence others in ways you may never fully see.

Thank you for the memories, the laughter and the standing ovation moments. We wish every one of you the very best for secondary school and beyond.

Keep believing in yourselves, keep shining brightly and keep creating ripples that reach far and wide. 💙

Well done to Morrisons who are supporting vulnerable families throughout the summer, and have asked schools to share this message:

'Between Monday 29 June and Sunday 6 September 2026, families can access free Kellogg's breakfasts in all Morrisons Cafes. This is available to both children and adults, who can choose from much-loved favourites Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, topped with their choice of dairy or non-dairy milk and a free apple or banana.

In addition to the Kellogg’s Breakfast offer, Morrisons ‘Kids Eat Free’ offer will continue to run in all its Cafés, allowing families to enjoy a free meal and drink for one child aged 16 or under when they purchase an adult main meal costing over £5 from The Breakfasts and The Classics menu.'

What does enrichment look like at our school? 🌟

We're excited to look ahead to September, when our sports partners, Elite, will be working with us to provide Wrap Around Care, including a fantastic range of after-school sports clubs.

But enrichment is about so much more than organised activities.

Working alongside our School Council, we've listened carefully to what our children want from their playtimes. As a result, we've introduced a wide range of sports equipment for everyone to enjoy every day, while also creating opportunities for children to lead their own clubs.

This year alone, our pupils have set up:
🎭 Drama Club
🧶 Loom Band Club
📚 Library Club
✏️ Doodle Club
🌿 Nature Club

When children come to us with a great idea, our first instinct is to say "Yes!"

By giving children the freedom to direct their own play and share their passions with others, they develop confidence, self-belief, creativity, independence and teamwork. They learn to lead, collaborate and inspire one another.

And that's always our why.

Because enrichment isn't just about keeping children busy - it's about helping every child discover who they are, what they love, and what they're capable of becoming. 💙

Our Key Stage 2 children had the privilege of visiting the Sikh Gurdwara in Gravesend, where they were welcomed with warmth, kindness and smiles from every member of the community.

Despite Fridays being one of the busiest days at the Gurdwara, and with the excitement of a wedding taking place during our visit, everyone took the time to make us feel incredibly welcome. The children enjoyed a tour of the beautiful building, admiring its stunning decoration before visiting one of the prayer halls to learn how Sikhs pay their respects at the Platform. It was wonderful to witness so many beautifully dressed men and women gathering to celebrate a wedding, creating an atmosphere full of joy, excitement and community.

Our host, Dipinder, shared her knowledge of the Sikh faith, explaining Sikh baptism (Amrit), the Five Ks and the significance of the Gurdwara itself. The children listened with curiosity and respect, asking thoughtful questions throughout.

We were then invited to Langar, the community kitchen, where volunteers prepare, serve and clean every day as an act of Seva, or selfless service. The children were generously served delicious dahl and chapati by members of the community, experiencing firsthand the Sikh belief that everyone is equal and always welcome to share a meal together.

The visit brought to life so many of the values we encourage in school: thinking of others before ourselves, taking responsibility for our actions, showing kindness, serving our communities and treating every person with dignity and respect. It was a powerful reminder that learning about different faiths helps us to build understanding, challenge misconceptions and celebrate the rich diversity of the world around us.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dipinder and everyone at the Gravesend Sikh Gurdwara for their generosity, hospitality and willingness to share their faith and traditions with us. It was an unforgettable experience that our children will remember for years to come.

Messages like this remind us exactly why we love teaching.

Today we received a lovely email from a parent, and it completely made our day.

A child who has previously been a reluctant writer came home and, completely unprompted, chose to write for fun. Not only that, but he was incredibly proud of himself and is now excited to keep writing in the hope of becoming Writer of the Week.

Confidence can't be measured on a worksheet. Sometimes it looks like a child reaching for a pencil because they want to. Sometimes it sounds like, "Writing is my favourite thing."

Helping children discover self belief is one of the greatest privileges of our job.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We couldn't be prouder of our budding writer. We can't wait to read more about dinosaurs, submarines, and whatever inspires him next!

There is something truly special about the Spirited Arts competition. Each year, children amaze us with their creativity, imagination, and thoughtful responses to big questions about life, faith, and the world around them.

Every piece of artwork tells a unique story, offering a glimpse into how young people see, wonder, question, and express what matters most to them. Their honesty, originality, and depth of thinking are both inspiring and humbling.

Thank you to every child who has shared their creativity and courage through their artwork, and to the teachers who encourage them along the way. Celebrating these incredible responses reminds us just how powerful children's voices can be.
