Sky’s the limit! 🪂 Louise & Evie from our Busy Bees Coventry Allesley Green took to the skies to raise money for BBC Children in Need 🥰
10,000ft up with plenty of supporters cheering from below. And one VERY nervous jumper! 😂
Louise loved every second… Evie? Not quite so much!🤣
But they absolutely smashed it, raising an incredible £2,400+ so far! 🎉
👏 We’re all SO proud of you both!

And there’s still time to donate… Every penny helps, head to our stories to support 🙌🏻

Did we miss any? ⭐️

These little gold star moments show independence, communication, confidence, resilience and social skills that happen naturally throughout their day, ALL woven into our Bee Curious Curriculum from their very first day with us ❤️

24/09/2026

👀 We followed some little hands throughout their day… here’s a little bit of what they got up to…

Painting? Yep.
Rolling? Of course.
Page turning? Obviously.
Having fun? ABSOLUTELY.

And what might look like “just playing”?
👀 It’s actually learning, experimenting, creating, problem-solving and becoming more independent 🥰

In honour of back to school week, we thought it only fair to throw back to some of our first day of school pics (before we were the ones behind the camera 😭) Thank you to all of our parents who made the trips into the loft, it’s worth it we promise 🙋‍♀️

What’s your fondest first day of school memory?

01/09/2026

We’re so proud to see our very own Jenny Shaw live on this morning sharing her expert insight on the ‘invisible skills’ that play such an important role in children’s development…

Confidence, communication, emotional resilience, independence and social skills ❤️

These skills can often be overlooked when the common focus is on academic milestones like reading, writing and maths, but they play such a vital role in helping children navigate school and life way beyond.

That’s why they’re woven throughout our Bee Curious curriculum from a child’s very first day with us - all through the art of play!

School readiness is about more than letters and numbers, it’s about giving them the skills to thrive from those very early years 🥰

How many can you recognise in your little one? ☝️
The skills you can’t always see are often the ones that matter most...

At Busy Bees, we nurture these invisible skills from the earliest years through our Bee Curious Curriculum, helping little ones build foundations that last long beyond nursery. 🐝

Because it’s not just about getting ready for school. It’s about getting ready for life.

And when they’re learning, growing and building the skills they’ll carry with them, you know they’re exactly where they should be. ❤️

The past few weeks have been quite busy in Bumbles 1, as we celebrated our love for one another during our Valentine’s Day Celebrations. Our Stay and Play event was a tremendous success! 🥰

A memorable moment this week occurred when one child attempted to use a muddy puddle to clean one of the bicycles. This prompted me to gather some soapy water and cloths, leading to the creation of a complete bike cleaning station. The activity amusingly progressed to cleaning the walls and fences. We took this opportunity to discuss the importance of caring for our resources and the environment around us. 👏🏼

We have also explored a variety of sensory play activities this week, including gloop, scooping and pouring with dry ingredients, and water play with pipettes. While all these activities are centred around our senses, we have also focused on developing our fine motor skills and building strength in using and manipulating tools.

We’ve had another fantastic week in the Buzz Room, filled with vibrant learning experiences! The children enjoyed counting in our dinosaur land, discovering about various dinosaur sizes while recognising numbers.

We also had a lovely time exploring patterns, where the children used shapes, colours, and objects to create their own special designs.

Additionally, we’ve been talking about teeth and how to keep them healthy. The children had a blast making tooth models from bottle bottoms and then practised brushing them to ensure they stayed sparkling clean! We’re so proud of their eagerness to learn!

This week in Bumbles 2, we had an amazing time as we wrapped up our space theme! The children embarked on a journey to the moon and thoroughly enjoyed the sensory experience of feeling the moon gloop between their toes. They loved diving into all sorts of space and planet stories, and now we can’t wait to start our next adventure – learning about Pets!
