A family owned and operated business based in Kent and London, we produce bespoke luxury bathrooms.

All of our cast iron baths are poured using the same techniques that our foundry has been using for the last 100 years. The original bateau bath was made over 120 years ago but the design and methods have remained the same. We have the largest variety of cast iron baths anywhere in the UK, and an impressive 3,000sq ft showroom full of our exquisite items in Chelsea, London and Pluckley, Kent. As w

ell as commissioned works from cast metal, we also offer a complete design service and often work alongside interior designers and project mangers as well individual customers who are looking for both luxury and quality bathrooms.

Years before renovation plans existed, Juliette spotted The Polished Brass Bateau through a window on the Fulham Road and promised herself she would have that bath in her next home.
That home turned out to be a remarkable 16th-century house, layered with 18th and 20th-century additions and lovingly restored over four years (while the family lived in it, certainly not for the faint-hearted).
"I kept the colour scheme as neutral as possible as the bath was, and is, the showstopper."
The master suite is anchored by Catchpole & Rye’s iconic freestanding Polished Brass Bateau with Venetian Crest, set against Farrow & Ball No. 2005 All White walls and a treasured antique mirror refinished in gold leaf. The completed renovation honours over four centuries of architectural history while feeling entirely relevant to modern living.

Copper baths are beautifully traditional, reminiscent of a time past when one bathed in front of the fire. Although lightweight, copper baths are sturdy and made entirely from high gauge copper sheeting which is then moulded into its unique bateau shape.

These illustrious bathtubs are offered in an array of stunning finishes, each one unique and skillfully hand finished in our workshops in Kent. From highly polished to aged copper, these distinctive baths are expertly finished in Catchpole & Rye’s own workshops. We provide three standard sizes; 1500mm, 1700mm and 2000mm.

Copper baths come in a number of distinct finishes including, but not limited to: copper both inside and out, antiqued copper exterior, charcoal black exterior and white enamelled interiors.

The Pyrford Vanity unit is a sleek, architectural piece, handcrafted from the finest timbers and topped with exquisite marble.

Not only is it pleasing to the eye, it provides ample storage within. This beautiful example is shown in our Limed Oak finish, with Arabescato Marble and wall mounted Brushed Nickel taps.

The Pyrford Vanity can be bespoke in many ways, including the colour choice, whether choosing one of our timber finishes or your chosen paint colour, the marble and tap finishes, and we offer cast metal inlays.

This vanity unit is truly a workhorse for the bathroom, and comes in either single, pictured, or double.
