Based in Kenilworth and welcoming families from Coventry, Leamington Spa, and nearby areas. I'm Claire Jones, a violin teacher based in Kenilworth offering private lessons for children aged 4 and up. I teach from my home studio and welcome families from Kenilworth, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick, and surrounding areas. Lessons are tailored to each child, with a focus on building confidence, lis
tening skills, and a love of music through gentle encouragement and consistent practice. I work with young musicians at all stages of their early learning, offering a supportive and relaxed environment that encourages confidence and musical enjoyment.
👋 About Me
I’ve loved making music for as long as I can remember. I’m grateful that the musical education I received as a child remains a meaningful part of my life today, enjoying playing regularly with local ensembles, including the Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra, Warwick and Kenilworth Choral Society, and Leamington Sinfonia. Music has been a lifelong source of joy, connection, and creativity for me, and I feel incredibly lucky to help children begin their own musical journeys. I studied Music at the University of Birmingham and am currently completing my Suzuki teacher training to deepen my approach to child-centred teaching. Alongside running my private studio, I also teach violin in schools across Warwickshire and with the Warwickshire Suzuki Group.
🎻About the Suzuki Method
Kenilworth Strings follows the principles of the Suzuki method - an internationally recognised approach to music education that begins with the belief that every child can learn. Like language learning, music is taught through listening, repetition, and parental involvement, with an emphasis on creating a positive, nurturing environment. As a Suzuki-trained teacher - and a Suzuki parent myself - I’ve seen how this approach helps children develop not just musical skills, but focus, determination, and a lifelong love of music.
