We are delighted to introduce Mrs Gemma Blumberger, who joins us today as our new Nursery Manager here at Little Crackers Nursery. Gemma is an experienced, passionate and knowledgeable Nursery Manager, who has impressed us all with her enthusiasm for the Early Years and her ideas on child development.
Gemma has a BA in Early Childhood from the University of Warwick, along with a range of other early years qualifications. She brings plenty of practical experience, having worked in a number of nursery settings, most recently as a manager of a nursery within a local primary school.
With an approach that centres around learning through play and exploration, along with a wealth of experience in supporting parents with young children, we know Gemma will work in partnership with families, while inspiring our dedicated nursery team.
We look forward to working with her and welcome her warmly to our Little Crackers family and wider Princethorpe Foundation team.

A mud kitchen provides so much more than just outdoor play – it’s a space for storytelling, role play, creativity and communication. It offers sensory learning, the chance to experiment and to make a mess. Is there anything quite so satisfying as mucking about in the earth?
This summer, in our outdoor playground, our nursery children have embraced every opportunity for outdoor pretend play.

Our Nursery children have had a great time creating papier-mache hot air balloons this week. The activity sparked their imaginations while developing their fine motor skills. We used party balloons for the basic shape, then got busy sticking newspaper all over them. Once they were dry, we painted the shell in lots of bright colours. They are going to look amazing when finished. Up, up and away everyone!

Our little ones love drawing, tracing and experimenting on the interactive whiteboard. They enjoy exploring colours, shapes and movement, watching their ideas appear on the screen as they play and create. It’s a fantastic hands-on activity that supports hand-eye coordination, sparks their imaginations and gives the children the freedom to try, change and build on their ideas.

Comments Headmaster, Rob Duigan, “Our Registrar is the important first point of contact for all our parents and prospective parents at Crackley Hall and Little Crackers, supporting and guiding them through the admissions process. I know our whole community will join me in welcoming Jamie to the Crackley Hall family and thanking Jenny for all her hard work, good humour and commitment to the school and nursery. We wish her all the very best for the future.”

Our Little Crackers had a fabulous time at their Nursery Sports Day. The crowds gathered early on, creating a buzz of excitement as our lovely Little Crackers Nursery pupils headed out excitedly for one of their biggest events of the year.
Nursery Sports Day took place on the astro, with the children competing in teams. Everyone lined up eagerly to take turns and the determination and concentration on their little faces was amazing to see. Everyone had great fun, racing up and down and taking part in the obstacle course. Mr Vaughan had worked hard in the children’s specialist PE sessions to get everyone ready to race and they all enjoyed taking turns.
A special thank you to our Nursery Team and Mr Vaughan for organising all the fun and to the weather for thankfully being cooler.

👨‍🎓👩‍🎓Our Little Crackers Nursery team organised a very special ‘Graduation Ceremony’ to celebrate the pre-school group ‘moving on’ to big school. The ceremony took place yesterday, in front of their families, and the children were each presented with a little scroll by Nursery Deputy Manager, Clare Bird.📜
🎶Our Badgers had practised special songs for the occasion and sang them perfectly, they also performed an amusing sketch, helpfully reminding everyone what they need to take to school. Their celebration was completed with a joyful throwing of the scrolls into the air. Then afterwards, there was a slice of special graduation cake for everyone to enjoy.🍰
We wave goodbye with a smile to this wonderful group and send them on their way to Reception with plenty of good wishes for exciting times ahead. Good luck everyone! 👏

For our specialist PE session with Mr Vaughan this morning, we sang action songs outside in the shade of the big trees. Action songs help coordinate mind and body and promote language development through repetition. While making music together builds a sense of teamwork. Music and movement provide so many learning benefits in the early years.

We know that our parents appreciate the opportunity to come into nursery so yesterday we welcomed lots of dads and grandads into Little Crackers for a special Father’s Day celebration. Our lovely Little Crackers were delighted to welcome their guests and to share with them all their nursery fun.
They began by enthusiastically singing some special 'dad' songs before they took their visitors off to explore. There was plenty of fun to be had, with creative craft on offer including the chance to make paper aeroplanes or build alien rockets. We also had lots of the continuous provision activities out and the dads were quick to join in - the construction box proved popular with many.
Thank you so much to everyone for coming to visit, it was wonderful to welcome you into nursery and we hope you all enjoyed the fun. Happy Father's Day!

🧸 Stay 'n' Play Teddy Bears’ Picnic 🧺
This morning, we enjoyed a very special Teddy Bears’ Picnic as part of our final Stay 'n' Play session before we finish for the summer holidays. Although the weather meant we had to move our picnic indoors, it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits. The children had a fantastic time sharing the space with their favourite teddy bears, enjoying snacks and taking part in lots of lovely, themed activities.
It was really nice to see so many happy faces. Thank you to everyone who joined us, we hope you had as much fun as we did!
Stay 'n' Play will be back in September with lots of fun activities and events for everyone to enjoy!
