🐴🎨 SCHOOL HOLIDAY DRAWING COMPETITION! 🎨🐴

With the school holidays here, we'd love to see our little equestrians get creative! 🌟

🖍️ Draw a picture inspired by your favourite horse or pony. Whether it's a through the ears view, cantering across open fields or on the beach, we can't wait to see your masterpiece!

📸 Once you've finished, ask a parent or guardian to post your picture in the comments below, along with:

🏆 The lucky winners will receive a rosette! 🏆

Pre-booking is essential with a maximum attendance number of 60 and pre-organised departure times.
There is a strict code of conduct for this event.

Calling all young equestrians! Are you a budding writer? We'd love you to write a short fictional story about exploring the countryside with your favourite four-legged friend. 🌳🐴

Let your imagination run wild! Perhaps you discover a hidden trail, meet woodland creatures, solve a mystery, or embark on an exciting adventure together.

📢Join our exclusive CPD Days with Liz Eaton FBHS and Jele Dominis
at the BHS Ireland Camp at the magnificent Ashbrooke House, Co Fermanagh
on 18 and 19 August 2026.

📢Observe training with Liz Eaton FBHS, and Shiatsu for horse and rider with Jele Dominis.

📢Liz and Jele will be working together to enable a better connection and harmony between each horse and rider. They will provide tools for body awareness using shiatsu and Alexander technique principles.

📢The ethos is holistic with the wellbeing of the horse at the forefront.

Each day starts at 8.45am and finishes at approx. 5.30pm.

📢This day counts as 6 CPD points for BHS Accredited Professional Coaches.

Tea/Coffee and Lunch included.

📢The cost per day is £35 per person.

🐴 We're Hiring: Riding School Manager 🐴

Hitchmough's Equestrian Centre is looking for an experienced and passionate Riding School Manager to join our team and help lead the next chapter of our yard.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality riding lessons across all levels, from beginners to more advanced riders - teaching will be a core and daily part of this role
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the yard, including staff scheduling and lesson planning
- Ensure the highest standards of horse welfare, care, and safety across the school
- Manage the school's string of horses and ponies, including fitness, schooling, and suitability for lessons
- Support and mentor junior instructors and yard staff
- Maintain client relationships and help grow our lesson and camp bookings
- Uphold safety, tack, and equipment standards in line with best practice

What we're looking for:
- BHS Stage 3 qualification (or equivalent) is essential
- Proven teaching experience, with a genuine passion for developing riders of all ages and abilities
- Strong horse management and care skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- A hands-on, reliable, and proactive approach to yard life

This is a full-time role with a competitive salary on offer, at a well-established and welcoming yard.
