🌸 Mother’s Day Afternoon at Nursery 🌸

A big thank you to all the lovely mums who came in to spend the afternoon with us for our Mother’s Day celebration. It was so special to see everyone joining in, and the children absolutely loved having you here with them! 💕

The children enjoyed lots of different activities together, including making beautiful bunches of flowers for their mums, getting creative with arts and crafts, decorating biscuits, and having fun with playdough. It was a wonderful afternoon full of smiles, creativity and special moments.

📚✨ World Book Day at Nursery ✨📚

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day at nursery! The children looked wonderful in their costumes 👗🦸‍♂️🧙‍♀️ and were very excited to share the books they brought in from home 📖.

Throughout the day the children enjoyed exploring stories together, looking closely at the illustrations 🖼️, turning pages independently and listening to familiar stories 👂📚. These experiences help support the children’s Communication and Language development while encouraging a love of reading ❤️📚 and building their early Literacy skills.

Dressing up as their favourite characters also encouraged lots of imaginative play and creativity 🎭✨, helping the children to confidently share their ideas with their friends 💬.

Thank you to all the parents and carers for supporting the children by helping them dress up and bringing in their favourite books to share.

🎄 A Wonderful Month of Christmas Fun at Nursery 🎄

Over the past month the children have had an amazing time celebrating Christmas with lots of festive activities, fun experiences, and creative tuff trays. From crafts and messy play to festive exploration and imagination, it’s been a joy to see the children so engaged, happy, and excited each day.

A huge thank you to all our amazing staff for their hard work, creativity, and dedication this year. Every activity, tuff tray, and special moment has been thoughtfully planned to make Christmas magical for each child.

Thank you for filling the days with so much fun, creativity, laughter, and of course lots of cuddles ❤️ We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and for making this year so special for our children.

🎄 Christmas Dinner at Nursery 🎄.

The children had a wonderful time enjoying their Christmas dinner, full of smiles, laughter, and very full tummies! It was such a special day and the children absolutely loved it.

A huge shout out to Karen for cooking such a delicious Christmas dinner and for making the day so magical for the children. We’d also like to say a big thank you for all the lovely meals Karen has prepared throughout the year, we are so grateful for everything she does.

🦷 Smiles Start Young! 🦷

At nursery, the children have been learning about oral hygiene and why it’s important to brush our teeth and visit the dentist. This forms an important part of the EYFS, particularly Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development, helping children develop healthy routines and learn how to care for their bodies.

💡 Tips for parents:
• Brush teeth twice a day using fluoride toothpaste
• Make brushing fun with songs or timers
• Encourage regular dental check-ups

Working together helps children build healthy habits that will last a lifetime 😁

🚦 Exploring Road Safety at Nursery! 🚦

Last week our children have been learning all about road safety ⭐️. We’ve been talking about how to stop, look, and listen, and why it’s important to stay close to a grown up near roads 👀👂. The children then enjoyed a little walk 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ where they had the chance to practise crossing safely with their friends and adults 😊.

Learning about road safety in the early years is an important life skill. It helps children become more aware of their surroundings, 🌟 encourages personal responsibility, and supports their physical development through walking and coordination 💪. It also nurtures their emotional development by building confidence and independence 💛.

We’re incredibly proud of how well the children listened and how confidently they took part, they did brilliantly! 🌈👏

🦷✨ Healthy Smiles at Little Cubs! ✨🦷

We’re helping our Little Cubs learn all about keeping their teeth clean and healthy! 🪥💙

Each child will be bringing home a toothbrushing pack with a toothbrush, toothpaste, timer, sticker chart, and information leaflet. Everything they need to make brushing fun and part of their daily routine. 😁

As part of the EYFS, promoting good oral health and hygiene is an important focus. We’ll be talking and learning about it a lot more at nursery, helping children understand why brushing twice a day keeps their teeth strong, healthy, and happy! 🌟

🩵💗 Baby Loss Awareness Week 💗🩵

We’re so proud to share that our cake sale for Baby Loss Awareness Week was a huge success! Together, we raised an amazing £450 — with £225 going to The Lily Mae Foundation and £225 to Tommy’s at UHCW, two charities that are very close to our hearts.

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, bought, and donated. Your kindness and support mean so much and help make a real difference to families affected by baby loss. 💕

And a special thank you to our wonderful nursery team for organising the event and helping make it such a success! 🌸
