When planning our curriculum, we look at the whole 3 years children might be with us, and we try to consider experiences that not every child will be able to have at home. One of those things is that we like everyone to have the chance to meet and interact with animals and pets. Last week we had a very exciting visit from Eddie the puppy, and we learned about the importance of asking the person before touching a dog, and how to interact gently and safely with him.

Here, children are showing how they create new ways to use familiar items in the environment- sometimes ideas we would never have thought of ourselves! We've got a whole row of children 'on the train', and a football rolling within a tyre which is rolling. To do both of these, children have used big muscles, strength and co-ordination, to bring their ideas to life.

Physical challenges are great for building pride and confidence. We have a wide range of equipment to provide different experiences of balancing, sliding, climbing, jumping, lifting, rolling, and so on.
