Some of our pupils were enjoying learning a new routine at our lunchtime Irish Dancing club yesterday; with the very lovely and incredibly talented Roisin from the Turley Duggan Academy. For a first run through they did brilliantly, as there was plenty to remember. You can already see them clearly linking their hops, skips and jigs. Great exercise and a real mental workout for them all! We will pop back later in the term to share how they get on.
Irish Dancing is just one of the many co-curricular options here at Crackley Hall School.

Our wonderful Reception children are settling into their new classrooms and routines beautifully! To learn more about each other, each of the children has put together a storyboard sharing pictures and images that tell their fellow pupils and teachers all about who they are. In class today, pupils have been taking turns to show their posters to the class, talking about the pictures and answering questions confidently.
The activity helps to build their confidence, supports communication and language development, and encourages our little ones to celebrate what makes each and every one of them special.
We are so enjoying getting to know each other!

It's going to be a busy and exciting term, full of lots of lovely learning, as we lay the foundations for another successful academic year. This morning, we have seen plenty of smiles as the children begin the process of settling into new classrooms and new routines.

Well done everyone! Great to see some happy Crackley faces among the photos.

In the summer term, Father Ryan and the Parish Council set an exciting challenge for some of our talented artists to create an image of St Francis, who is celebrating his 800th anniversary this year. Pupils were invited to celebrate the anniversary of St Francis of Assisi by depicting his image with nature. Two designs were chosen as our Crackley Hall winners. St Augustine’s were also invited to contribute two images and together the four designs were used to produce a series of special prayer cards which are now available from the church.
We think the young artists did a magnificent job. Well done to the pupils at both schools for producing such beautiful work.

Our Holiday Club children have been having so much fun! Over the last few weeks, they've enjoyed trips out, arts and crafts, sports and games, baking, silent discos and of course plenty of fun with their friends.
Today they were cooking, and not just in the latest heatwave! Instead our holiday club turned into an Italian pizzeria. The children rolled up their sleeves and mixed and rolled the dough, spread and sprinkled on their choice of toppings and then we popped them in the oven to cook. Everyone decorated their own takeaway pizza box beautifully, ready to take their culinary creations safely home. While the hall tables did get a bit messy, we had lots of discussion about healthy food choices. It’s amazing how a simple hands-on cooking session can be so much fun.

🎉 Exciting News for Princethorpe College and The Princethorpe Foundation 🎉
Princethorpe College and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC), who founded the College in 1966, have completed a landmark agreement that will unlock significant opportunities for future development across the Foundation.

The deal involves release of additional land and accommodation which will support plans to:
✅ Expand sports pitch provision by around 70%
✅ Improve campus access, parking and traffic flow
✅ Create additional teaching, learning and staff spaces
✅ Increase sporting and specialist facility opportunities for pupils from Crackley Hall and Crescent School
✅ Support future development across the Foundation's campuses

Foundation Principal, Ed Hester, said: “We have been working hard on our campus master planning across all our three sites and the acquisition of the additional land and accommodation at Princethorpe will unlock immense potential to develop the campus further and overcome some current operational constraints.”

The MSC founded the College, now the senior school of The Princethorpe Foundation, in 1966 and whilst they relinquished all control and ownership of the College in 2000, they have remained strongly associated with the school and extremely supportive ever since.
