First established thirty-five years ago by qualified Early Years Teacher and mother of four Pauline Weighell, Castle is a unique educational facility that has family at the heart of its provision. Offering professional childcare across two beautiful settings within the vicinity of St Nicholas School, each with an extensive range of stimulating indoor and outdoor facilities, Castle is c

arefully designed to provide your child with every opportunity for exciting learning and imaginative play. In managing the setting, Pauline has been joined by her daughter Sarah, a qualified Teacher and Early Years Professional. Both are committed to their belief in the importance of establishing a love of learning during the formative early years of your child's development. It is dedicated to offering affordable and adaptable provision whilst maintaining an exceptional quality of care delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff. Castle maintains a reputation for excellence, reflected in all of its OFSTED reports. The most recent inspection of the setting identified the children's learning as 'outstanding', commenting on the exceptional educational programme, equipment and resources' offering 'rich, varied and imaginative resources, helping children to make outstanding progress in their learning and development.' Castle is also accredited by the Pre-School Learning Alliance, and associated with the Friends of the University of Warwick Early Years Training Programme, all a testament to the efforts of Castle's highly qualified and experienced team and their commitment in helping children to reach their full potential by exploring, creating and having lots of fun in a safe and caring environment.

The children at Castle Nursery and Preschool had a very special visitor to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee - the 'Queen' herself! The children were shocked and excited when the queen made a special appearance at their Jubilee party celebration. Her royal highness brought her crown to show the children, photos of her royal children and a corgi. The children made a golden throne for her to sit on, flags to wave, crowns to wear and flowers to give her. We hope it was an experience the children will remember for some time! Castle's 'queen' was convincingly played by Pauline Weighell who set up the nursery 40 years ago. Almost all of the children were convinced she was the real queen - one Preschooler looked at her quizzically and said 'you look a bit different to how you looked on tele yesterday!'. We hope everybody enjoys the celebrations over the weekend!

Our lucky Preschool children have enjoyed a trip to Kenilworth Castle this week in our very own Castle minibus. The trips have helped the children explore a real palace from our local history to get us in the mood for the Jubilee celebrations ahead! 👑💂‍♀️👑

The theme for our tree is ‘Jingle Bells’ 🔔.
All the work was done by the children at the nursery so please go along and see if you can spot your child's 🔔 on the tree!
